Emerging from the pastry-filled squid remains, Bob and Chris found that the squid had been mysteriously transported to Upper Volta and that they were surrounded by Voltarian cannibals and bounty hunters. Bob gave them Chris and set off across Africa looking for some scones.

However, Upper Volta was known for hosting a parallel dimension, so Chris also gave Bob to the cannibals and set off across Africa looking for some scones. Yet, Africa was not part of this strange phenomenon of parallel universes, so the two dimensions just sort of smooshed together, and Bob found himself walking next to Chris.
