Apologies for my prolonged absence. School has kept me extremely busy thus far. Currently, it's Spring Break, but, once that's done, I'm not sure that I'll be able to be much more active than I have been recently, although I will make an effort.

I had the two halves of the group finally reunite in my post if that is fine with everyone. By the way, when everyone returns to the Inn, Beorn should be mysteriously missing.

Indeed, that was a much needed post, but I have issues! Are my posts that boring to read? tongue.gif

QUOTE (Two Jacks @ Feb 12 2010, 12:18 AM)
YAKS is now on day eight, morning-afternoon.

What I've posted is only the introduction. I'm doing this because the rest of my post spans the rest of the day including the invasion of the city. Which means Go ahead and post what you want in the mean time but keep this in mind (also it'd be cool to get things rolling, I don't know what we're waiting for at this point..):

Yomu is by himself, he's leaving AKS for the moment, he shouldn't run into anyone, until after my last post on this section. He can't be psychically traced because of Firecat's protection (and another's..).

Do not finish the battle in Cademia. I don't think anyone was planning to finish (or even start it..) anytime soon, regardless my post ends as things are getting bad. I don't know how the group (however it forms) will go about protecting the city, but doubt it will be easy and I expect it to last at least a little while.

Yomu shouldn't be there, since he left SAK in order to help Firecat.

He left a note in Andru's care (since he would be least likely to question Yomu's actions) to give to Shanadar and Katerei as he left. You can make up what it says, as long as it follows the basic lines of "Sorry/Have to take care of something/Don't look for me/We'll meet again when this is all over". I would think this info might want to be relayed to Wizard and co. since Yomu had been acting strange since the night of the judge's castle. I assume SAK is fed up enough with Yomu unreliability to not care to chase after him, but even if they decide to, please don't find him.

My apologies. A great many events occurred between my posts and I was unable to remember all that had happened. I have fixed the error as best I could.

We got a little bit out of order. My post follows this post and occurs almost at sundown on day 8 - several minutes before "the attack" was originally planned to happen. According to events hinted at in other people's posts, I believe the "group" was somewhere around the north half of the city, which puts them across town from the meeting. Thus, its plausible to assume Krys and Jacob split from the other three to start up the attack wherever it was happening.

Its not mentioned in this post (and I figured you didn't want to wait another 17 weeks to read it in the next post), but Scry went outside because she detected someone there, presumably Raltperian.

In my next post I'm thinking of having Selax be attacked by his mother's cooking and get stabbed by a butter knife. Any objections?

You're doing it wrong. You're supposed to say, "I've got a great idea I'm contemplating for my next post, but I'm concerned there may be objections from my fellow TSers. I don't want to give away too much information here and ruin it for everyone, but could [everyone] please meet me at [super secret location] tomorrow night at 3am?"

Anyways, hello, everyone! It's been awhile since my last post; it's been even longer since the last time I read what was going on in the TS. Don't worry, I shall try to catch up and post something at some point by the end of the week.

@Avatara, why would you have to wake up at 3 AM? I wasn't aware you ever slept.

At first I thought you meant it had been awhile since your last TS post, and that you'd been posting in it without actually reading the TS... which might explain a lot...

I'm actually working on a TS post (shock and horror!) but I have a problem that may require input from several people: Selax (which means I hope he reads the forums more often than he signs in to check his PMs tongue.gif), Wizard (if he's still alive), Rythan, TwoJacks, and possibly Avatara because if I'm doing something stupid, I know he'll want to tell me so.

I need a way for <mysterious unidentified alt-Cythera character> to get in contact with alt-Selax, about nine or ten years ago (after alt-Cythera split from the original one.) Preferably a way that doesn't take more than about a day, which means no trying to figure out the mailing address for the Evil Saltwax Lair. I believe Selax can travel fairly quickly, but I'd still need a way for <MUAC character> to contact him. This means for everyone who has a telepathic character, I want to know what they were doing at the time. So far my options are:

-Firecat, if he was already part of Saltwax Co. back then.
-Krys, since I assume she would have been a child in training with Wizard at the time. So maybe Wizard was training/desensitizing her by having her do what Firecat does now, be a glorified answering machine.
-Direct link to Selax via Wizard, but I doubt Wizard would waste his time playing secretary.
-Even evil overlords need a stiff drink once in awhile, and Selax is hanging out at the Tavern.

There are also some details about alt-Cythera's history that I'd like to get ironed out, but I'm too sleepy to get into those right now and might be easier to discuss as a group in real time anyway (hint, hint.)

So, there's a battle at the house, but the main battle is about to start. Except I completely forgot what all is involved in the siege of Cademia. Isn't there like an army of stuff, with Krys and Jacob trying to kill the heroes?

I should also note that in my post up there ^ where I said nine or ten years, it's been changed in the Unofficial Speculative Timeline™ to be five years ago. Not that it really matters since TwoJacks is the only one who's given me input wink.gif (and I left my post vague enough that it's not urgent, but expect more pestering over the summer.)

We've succeeded in driving Avatara entirely bonkers. Selax is planning a celebration party as I speak.

Avatara has always been completely bonkers. No need to celebrate anything that is not new smile.gif .

I should be done with school in a couple of weeks and hope to be able to return to the TS at that time, unless of course Tyrael's wish comes true and I am attacked with a butter knife.

It's complicated and everything is vague in my memory as I wait for a good time to add anything of real value to the story. From what I recall off hand: Krys, and maybe alt Wizard, create a phantom "army" of convincing ruffian illusions to distract and overwhelm the city guards while the rest of the Hand makes trouble elsewhere. Jacob is hero hunting, which Kain, Ral, and Scry were supposed to do to but Kain took time out of his busy schedule for posturing, as is his way. When he is done getting his ass handed to him (in perhaps not so demeaning a fashion as I have just implied) the other two at least will get back on task.

For characters in this story not written by myself (how many is that, three?) there are other things they busy themselves with. Alas, I am not the foremost expert on their comings and goings. I believe Dark has a character he wishes to bring into the fray along with an army waiting in the wings. All looking for the slightest excuse to do vile things with brutal efficiency. You'd have to ask him for specifics.

Other villains and heroes alike are no doubt getting up to their own brand of mischief and each writer should be asked in turn about exactly what that entails. There are bad things below the city itself (Rythan and his ilk) but they won't be making an appearance during the attack so it's fine to keep moving on like they aren't even there.

The timing for any and all things my characters are supposed to do is malleable. Handle your end as you like and I'll work with that.

My post briefly identifies the who & where of the group Silverfish is with. I hope I didn't forget anybody. I don't mean to make everybody go in the same direction if they don't want to, infact I suspect that Wizard & a couple others might decide that it's high time to see the judge. I'm picturing Silverfish flying slightly ahead of the group, but loathe to leave them & just fly straight to the Scene of Conflagration.
