Selax, in your last post.

I'm habing Rasmus not join the group yet. I wanted the group to think that he was too much trouble or uneeded. It would be great however if he bumps into the group running out of the mine, stops them, and says something like, "Well well, so the great heros return." This could be a lead in to something along the lines of the groups next step.

I feel like I've been away for a while, so I decided to write a really quick post for Blazing Trails. My post for Dark Mirror isn't done just yet. . . I haven't devoted much time to it and won't have the chance for at least another day or two.

I wonder what it says about our heroes that they'd flee before a ghost when they knew it would be there and entered the caverns fully intending to meet it? lol

I've had a long absence but I hope to post this week. Keep posting and don't worry about mine, I will adapt to whatever is written. If I could though I'd like to ask that we avoid revealing the inner thoughts of the entire party, or at least characters not our own. If for example someone writes Alon doing something out of character I can roll with it and explain his motivations in my post, but if someone writes him thinking or feeling something out of character that's a little tougher to correct.

I have a post in mind, but it'll clash with Selax's.

My apologies for my belated reply, TwoJacks. I have switched Rasmus with Feoras.

Alright so I made my last move under the impression that the group know little to nothing aboutthe ghost village south oh Phynx. Also, a request to the mods: A review of spelling and grammar would be much appreciated (I'd do it with my eyes but it would probably not make a difference). I am sadly in another position of not having a reliable computer and in so having to reply to everything off the crappy computers at the college. Once again, hopefully this will change soon.

That's a pretty creative idea you've come up with ^_^ Although I would think the ex-students would probably have heard of Abydos, though I don't know how much they'd know about it.

First of all, Pirro was -pondering- not -gloating-, though, as you point out, that may not be immediately apparent to his companions.

Secondly, I think they were already aware of the ghost town:
QUOTE (Selax @ Sep 7 2009, 03:39 PM)
As they proceeded down the shaft, Anonymous was busy relating every bit of lore that he had ever heard about ghosts and how they could defeat one.

...

"I think he's the ghost," someone said faintly.

"Oh," Anonymous stopped and turned pale like the others. He bolstered his courage (either that or he was more insane than the others had given him credit for) and stepped toward the glowing being.

"Excuse me, honored sir? Perhaps, you could kindly leave this mine and haunt somewhere else? It'd be really convenient for the miners, you know, and I'm certain that Abydos wouldn't mind having another ghost."
(emphasis added)

Thirdly, if you'd like, I could make a list of all the English mistakes I notice, (when I happen to have time), so that you can fix them yourself. (I'm sure the Mods would like that)

I've been holding off in hopes that I wouldn't have to say this, but I'm going to have to drop out of this TS. I was really excited for it when we started, but I have a lot more invested in Dark Mirror, and I don't think I have time to give two stories the attention they need (nor do I really have the in-game knowledge to contribute much here.)

Erica is free to use by anybody now; I don't have the same sentimental attachment to her that I do to Katerei. wink.gif

That said, I'd better go start on my Dark Mirror post now *scrambles off to get working*

Alright, thanks Jehezekel. I don 't know how gloating got in there to be honest...

I cleaned up the spelling, added in that anonymous knew about the town, and posted a response to Pirro. Let me know if you want me to change anything Jehezekel.

Sorry to see you go, Kat :( If only you had unlimited time, right? ^_^

DM is definitely the more elaborate of our TSs right now (which I think is why I prefer BT, *closed-teeth grin*), and the one more needing your help!

Looks good! ^_^, but in your latest post, you stuck an extra 'r' on the end of Pirro's name, which, (unless Rasmus intends to call him that,) is wrong.

Does anyone else feel like our characters aren't quite sure who they are yet?

Who says that you have to give each story a lot of attention? tongue.gif

Edit: I posted in this TS. Nothing personal, Two Jacks, I was just concerned that the story would stall if we waited for everyone to give their votes, so I went with the majority of those who had spoken. We can always go to Abydos later if it will add to the story, but at the moment, it seems more logical for the group to try to communicate with the ghost one more time before they leave.

No problem Wizard, I only made the suggestion because the story was so stalled. biggrin.gif

But hey, you totally made it so I would have to make a lead-in post for Rasmus to follow. tongue.gif

I put up a short post. I suggest the group has lunch. They debate Jinrai's significance and come up with theories. Perhaps, Rasmus harp could randomly enable someone who listens to it to briefly (such as Zak or Erica) understand part of what Jhiaxis says?

I don't think Rasmus's harp would work as a translator, even if it did I doubt Rasmus has enough ability (or even luck) to make it work. If someone thought to make a connection between the harp and the ghost I quess they could ask Rasmus to play the note again, but it would probably just make everyone a little sad.

Selax, your introduction of Ninjas in your post was awfully entertaining, but I really expected you to do a better job at sticking close to Canon. I mean, you -are- a moderator on this board afterall! :p

Alright, short complementary post to Jehezekel's.

I'd apreciate it if Rasmus was to "lose" his luggage, whether through having to run from ruffians or down a stream, I'd just like (me or someone else) to work it in somehow as they travel. I am assuming they are going to Abydos now.

Abydos sounds cool to me ^_^

Remember the Abydos ghosts only show up at night (just in case anyone's forgotten).

Well, how's my post? I suggest that the next poster either narrates the shenanigans of the night, (which I'm guessing includes convincing miners to gamble away at least a bit of their money) or skip straight to the morning with only a brief note about how they were feeling in the aftermath of the night before.

Personally, I'm still not in favor of going to Abydos, but I'll follow the consensus. I think that a visit to Ignae might achieve more (an idea which for some reason did not occur me to before). I'll probably have my character suggest it, in case anyone is interested.

Where have you been anyway?!? o_@

I'm not sure how much any of them would know of Ignae? I can't recall who all spoke of him, but I'm pretty sure they didn't say much.

I suggest that any such proposals be of the, "Didn't one of Bell's party mention some similar being in a cave on the other side of the mountain? It might be more communicative or somesuch." variety. Which would prick their memories & all the fighters will want to collect Obsidian since Eioneus is in the same cave...

"Yeah, I'm gonna update my Blade to Leopard, this old Panther just doesn't cut it anymore..." <canned laughter>
