Okay, I have put the finishing post in BT up. I will leave the topic pinned and open for another couple of days to give people an additional chance to clean out any OoC comments.

BT has been locked and unpinned.

I'm still curious what people thought of this TS: does anyone have any opinions about whether it was more Cythera-based or not? Do people at some point want to try another such TS?

Yes, it was more Cythera-based, & yes, I'd like to do another.

What should we do next? Investigate the mystery of Larisa? Search for deep water? Help Glaucus make some new wine?

"Yo ghost man, we got your dead wife!" tongue.gif

I still like the idea of them purchasing or renting out the house for sale in Cademia!

You know a replacement for a tavern, where are heroes can reside while not in use! After all I can think of plenty to say in between stories, not this place couldn't do with some more active posting.

Yes, it was more Cythera based, maybe not as much as we had hoped, our familiarity with Cythera is fading for one thing, perhaps it would be good to amend that. But I would be interested in trying another one, even if I don't get around to refreshing my familiarity with the game.
My Cythera Boards characters:

Mitsos/Pirro: Canonically statted
Don't forget to write Cythera Chronicles!

Blazing Trails was a fun story. I did like the fact that our character spells and skills are based more directly from the game.

Unfortunately, apart from that, I thought it was actually less Cythera-based than our regular stories. I like our new characters well enough to try another, but I do think we need to decide what we want these stories to be.

Personally, I think the TS was less than Cythera-based than I had hoped for, but it might serve as a valid launching point for more TSs in this timeline, if there are enough people willing to try another.

Also, how do people think that running two TSs at once worked out? Was it relatively successful to most or did it hurt participation?

In Kat's case, it hurt participation :P For the rest of us, I don't think it made much difference. I think Dark Mirror would have moved at approximately the same speed if Blazing Trails hadn't been around. Maybe a little faster though.

Looks like Shorty, Nezmy, and I are in. But three participants isn't ideal. We just fall into a posting rotation & that's lame. If no one else wants to join in, I guess maybe we shouldn't do it :\

Here's a list of people who haven't joined Blazing Trails but should have (note: this isn't a complete list):
-Day
-City
-Bitey
-Percy
-Koy
-Uno

Just wanted to call these people out ^_~ If anyone new (that is, not in Blazing Trails) is interested in joining, note that reading Blazing Trails, while maybe entertaining, isn't really necessary in order to participate in the next one.

Also, feel free to add to my list of people who should join.

Maybe it's because I just recently read Tale of the Treasure, but one thing I really appreciated about Blazing Trails was its total independence of combat scenes.
Combat scenes aren't all bad, but there needs to be more to the story than one after another. I thought BT was really cute. & yeah, I guess I'm double-posting just to say that ^_^

If you decide to do a sequel to BT, I could try to join, but, given my lack of activity during the school year, I'm not certain that I'd be able to post very often.

Any other opinions as to how running two TSs at once worked out?

I'll change the title when the group decides on one in-story.. maybe. :P

So it's open to everyone. You can go with Anonymous in the morning, or join up after the place is established. I'd like to at least progress it to them actually buying the play (or renting it, and I'd like 453 to write it if she's up to it!).

I'm so happy this is happening! ^_^ I loved your post, Nezmy. Thanks for offering me the next turn :D I had them buy the building - I didn't specify who went, or how much their monthly mortgage will be. Now they need to clean it up... ^_~

I just have to say that Princess Danaë rocks & she has the best character info ever. Also, not sure if we want a new OoC thread or not.

Gla to see Sfiera joining the TS! I doubt we'll need the OoC topic but if anyone does, feel free to use this one.

One note: there are commands, and there are suggestions-with-the-force-of-commands. It's usually more polite to give a suggestion, so that's what comes naturally. Say two people are leaving the house and one forgets to lock the door: the other will say "Did you mean to lock the door?" or "You should lock the door," but rarely "Lock the door" (even the second sounds a bit rude to me if the speaker is a guest and not a housemate).

Danaë is commanding and not concerned about being rude. So if you find yourself having her voice a suggestion-with-the-force-of-a-command, consider editing it up to a command. (Example: I edited "I should stay here and you should stay to protect me" to "I will stay here and you will stay to protect me" before posting)
