Finally got some straight answers as far as where alts and people where with specific times. I shall begin working on putting it all together today, and hopefully have it up after Two Jacks' post.

This has to have been the messiest timeline and introduction of a character I've dealt with yet @.@

FYI: alt-Radik will begin the invasion of Kosha at the end of day 6, in order to avoid conflict with R0k's introduction of Jacob.

*ahem*

There was a lot of editing done to my last post in order to keep it canon. I'd advise anyone who's already read it to re-read it as to not get the wrong ideas for later posts.

Sorry if anyone was offended by my use of their characters,
Jacks

...and that brings us into Day 7. I don't think there's a whole lot to do for the Cademia people, just some cleanup with the aftermath of the castle. I should have another post covering the events of the day for IKEA soon, which will bring that team to day 8. Somebody may want to touch on SKY-B and the judge, maybe not.

At any rate, I think we're at a point where I can do this:

I am opening up the story to all threads.

Just try and remember where everybody is when you post - you can use the first ten posts of this topic as a reference if you have forgotten.

Merry Christmas!

By the way, that last post of yours, the "opening up the story to all threads" thing, was extremely anticlimactic :( I pictured a horde of impatient writers storming the TS with bright flares of repressed creativity.

Did somebody just drop a pin in here? Oh, that's just Tyry, forced to double-post after two and a half weeks of eerie silence...

So this means everyone is caught up right?

Even those freaky time travelers?

So then Rag, Jehezekel, Visitor, Dark, and Wizard should be posting more frequently right?

...

Well, technically SKY is still a day behind (as is IKEA) - but the gap is close enough that its okay (just don't slack on posting!). The big difference is I don't think any major events are going to happen on Day 7 in Cademia, whereas we knew stuff was going down at the judge's castle on day 6. In other words, one reason for the hold was partially to help establish a continuity for what has happened in the city when the other half of the posters arrive - rather than retconning things because the future posters posted first.

If that made sense.

I assume Rag is still around somewhere, at least he's been active on other boards.

Sounds like you're volunteering to post, 453 smile.gif .

As for what happens next, personally, I'd like to have the group at least discover the daemons below the city (sometime on or after Day 8) and possibly deal with them.

As for the lack of recent activity, I'm not sure what has caused it, although I do hope it ends eventually. Quite a few people just seem to have disappeared.

I guess it's just been a long time since I was able to post? I was on top of things like reading the thread for a long while but around my birthday last month my grandfather (whom I took care of by day) lost his fight with liver cancer. I think I mentioned "something" the last time I posted here, and that was it. Just wasn't ready to bring it up directly right then. Admittedly I've had other family issues on my mind since so no time to read or post but things are a bit better now so I'll be catching up and hopefully posting this week.

EDIT: Nice picture of Firecat. Also, I have one question for something I'm not clear on: It seems to be early Day 8 story-wise but I can't tell for sure. If it is Day 8 Wizard, Selax, Silver, and Talos can finally make it into the city that afternoon.

Characters on day 7: Avatara (alternate), Katerei (alternate), Iannah, Elie, Iannah's guy in command, Aremis (though his fate is pre-ordained, so not a big deal), guy-about-to-die, Beorn, Katerei, Shanadar, Yomu, Wizard (alternate), Rapierian, Rapierian (alternate), and adam's character (forgot the name).

Characters we don't know where they are: Seralcard and Radik.

Characters on day 8: everyone else. Demons, those guys walking to the city, you name it.

I'm going to make a big push this week - not sure when exactly (not today though) but definitely before Sunday* - to get over half of those characters onto day 8. There's not a whole lot going on, so I can probably get away with racing through time. It'd be helpful if someone on the SKY side did the same.

*As with the Christmas pledge, I'll do it even if I'm up until 3 in the morning writing a monolith. tongue.gif The only difference is this time I'm not sure what to do yet. All times are PST.

Congrats all!

We made it to 100 TS posts! With more than double that in OoC posts. tongue.gif

I left a few things unsaid in my post (because that's what an OoC topic is for!).

Item #1 is nothing really happens to BIKEA for the rest of the day. I assume there's enough stuff going on and the appearance of another body in town keeps the guards busy enough that nobody actually finds them today. Also, Wizard is probably causing everyone to be disorganized, slowing down any search of the city. And I don't know how well Katerei can track in the sewers with all that stinky sludge down there.

Thus, for all intents and purposes, the assassins are now on day 8. Only SKY and adam are lagging behind (and adam has the excuse he didn't specify an explicit day, so he could technically have beached on the night of 7) everyone else.

Item #2 is a bag of candies. Yum.

Item #3 is that Bastian suspects they're being watched (by alt-Rapierian most likely - but he doesn't know that). I tend to write from a single character's point-of-view, and Bastian wouldn't have told Avatara that.

As of this moment I have three pages of post, maybe half of what I intend to put up. It will basically leave off early afternoon on Day 8 and give every character something interesting to do if they aren't otherwise occupied. There's been a storm brewing in Cademia for a long while now, it's time to really bring the thunder.

OK, if Avatara can cut off midway through the day and claim nothing interesting happened the rest of the day, then so can I... because it's 9:30 AM, I haven't slept and my post is long enough already. tongue.gif

1) I don't really know what else happens to SKY. Maybe they try and search the other abandoned buildings and get stopped for some reason. Maybe they venture into the sewers. Maybe after Kat had her nervous breakdown they give up and go home. Regardless, if anything else important happens on this day, I'm not writing it.

2) Rapierian led them toward the old houses to lure them away from BIKEA.

3) Katerei will get her sense of smell back soon enough. It's just the magical Cytheran version of ammonia.

4) What on earth is going to happen to poor Beorn? sad.gif

Oh, Kat, question while you're online: I believe there is a ghetto in Cademia, but since it's not on the map I don't know where it is. Can you tell me?

I haven't specifically said in my post yet but I assumed it was near the Old Houses.

Valy- the ghetto's a big area. Pretty-much the entire South-West fourth of the map.

Thanks Valy!

So... This is going to be longer than 6 pages since I just hit 5 and have a lot more to write. It's 4am though so I'm going to sleep and when I wake up I'll spend my holiday finishing. I'm pretty much using and taking liberties with everyone's characters. With the exception of maybe two people (but I'm not done writing so you never know). And like I said I'm going to wind up giving everyone something cool (I think) to do.

Hoping I don't mess anything up so if anyone wants to make absolutely sure their character is on point just let me know.

Just a note: Jehezekel will probably be sticking around protecting his local farmers rather than joining the adventurers (yet) He's really a little over-powered with his Elemental weapon, & (to reference LotR) prefers to keep an Elrond/Galadriel/Bombadil sort of position: Keeping his own area bright & not leaving it until it's either safe or too Dark to stay.

I'd make sure I've said this clearly, but I have to run off to work now..

Adam- Was it intentional that you left in "man" and later "him" in descriptions of Apis? It is amusing, reminds me of that House Attis servant who's worked for Thuria since he was a man girl..
