Well we've arrived at the door step to the tree of life. A mysterious forest, at the end of which is the entrance to the tree. The mist makes you never leave a set area, someone should try and test this theory.

My apologies for my failure to get something up sooner, although I must say that I'm glad that people went ahead and posted :P .

My post (which I hope to put up soon) will probably be a bit short.

EDIT:
By the way, my idea is that the book contains a guide which leads them from one landmark to the next, until they exit the forest. I'm afraid it was the best that I could come up with. I suppose someone could just cast some kind of spell...if no one replies soon, I'll probably be forced to edit that to be the case.

Since we don't want to spend much time on distinct points, I brought the party out of the mist, & to a macabre landmark, whether anything happens there, I leave to you (not him, you) to decide ^_~

I might make a short post tonight, but I doubt that I'll move much along. I'm hoping that anyone who is still alive will return and start to move the story along.

By the way, I don't really expect to be able to post again before late this Thursday (finals and such this week).

EDIT:
I'm going to go ahead and move them past the Tree. I hope no one minds my solution. It just seemed to me that a necromancer might be well-suited to dealing with a tree of death.

Well, I've just posted. Probably the most I've contributed in awhile, seeing as my character never seems to be involved in anything particularly pressing during our escapades. Then again, that gives me some extra leeway as to when I choose to post, rather than being forced to all the time.

well my computer seems to be working for the time being, but for all I know it could decide not to work tomorrow or even in a few hours. I don't know if it's worth it for me to even try posting anymore :P
I've missed a lot so I'm pretty lost as to where we all are at the moment.
I'll probably end up reading up from where I left off, but it would be considerably more convenient if someone could sum up for me what all I missed? *pitiful face*

After much misc. accomplishments, they've gotten to an underground passage that leads to the tree of life (supposedly). The whereabouts of Alterius are unknown. Also, you've finished with the basic course in magic and are getting ready to give Bly his spellbook back (I hope).

I hope to see more of you Muse. :P

Well I'm glad I waited to post, it was the right timing now. I think this is it a few more post from everyone and it'll be happy trails! I think everyone knows what I'm inplying towards the end of my post, but if you don't, wing it. I'm sure only good can follow. (or evil)

Ok, so I decided to stir things up a bit. I figure that Alterius is (right now) standing in front of the Tree, but still needs the box to access it. Or there's some other kind of barrier there.

Anyway, as for what would happen next, I figured that the door's opened (with help of the box), and the party rushes in to find Alterius standing right in front of the Tree.

Then things get interesting...

Hmm, to be honest, I can't say that I really like the idea of a box that can find anyone instantly anywhere without any real difficulty.

Glad to see you back, Muse.

I'm probably going to go ahead and post, although I don't know how long it will be (I'm rather tired at the moment).

EDIT:
I'm adding a Guardian by the way. I'm also keeping the effects of the fruit ambiguous for the moment.

The box will only take you in and out of the tree, castle/dingeon type place? So I guess it wouldn't work unless your standing outside the door. The box's only purpose was to protect the tree, only question left now is, Why was it Muse? Might have something to do with the fact she's from the real world, maybe Alaric can help out on that.

Oh and I ment to post this earlyer but If you didn't like what I made your characters say/do, let me know I'll change it for you.

Actually, Two Jacks, I don't mind the silver box: I was referring to SIB's search box.

How about the purpose of the tree is that the apples make an incredible apple cider, and the curse is that for the rest of your days you'll go around lamenting the loss of such bliss?

No, I'm being serious here. It would make a very nice twist ending. If you don't think this quite fits, let me know what you'd prefer the apples to do.

P.S: The geosearch only found Alterius because he's a magic-user and really close by. It's more like the 'Where is (so-and-so)' feature in the actual game.

Hmm, this TS appears to me to be just about over, although I know that Wizard wants to post at least once before it ends. Hmm, I wonder if I should start a topic discussing next TS...

SIB: Sounds fine, assuming that magic users are able to escape detection if they wish (and have the skill) :P .

Yeah. It would be really ironic to have the revelation that there's a guard, the box, etc, etc. for the best apple cider you've ever tasted.

P.S: Dibs on revealing what the Tree is actually good for.

I have read all the posts in the TS and am totally caught up. I do want to post in it before it's finished; matter of fact, I was planning to post today but didn't have the time (. . . the story of my life on the Cythera Web Board).

Anyways, I hope to post soon, dealing with Altérius.

If you want, Wizard, feel free to God-Mode my character and give Altérius a beating. After being so brutalized in the TS's starter post, I'm sure Shanadar is just itching to give the once-dead renegade a piece of his mind (and perhaps the business end of a big stick). :P

I might just do that. I know that Wizard is itching to return a few blows that he received from Altérius. I just hope I'll be able to post soon.

I think that Wizard would like to post soon but is rather busy. If nothing else, I suppose that I can post something later this week.

As for what the Tree does, establishing that was, I think, part of the goal of this TS, but, personally, I'm almost inclined to want to leave it ambiguous for now. As for myself, I'd prefer that it at least be something serious.
