Um, well, I am here now... Yeah. Loads of studying because exams are this week and next... May not post for a while, but I'll do my best.

I always think of Silver as some sort of gnome, if that helps :P

Yup! :D at least gnomes are organic, though I'm not positive that we're picturing quite the same variety. He'd probably look fairly similar to a gnomish vampire, I guess. Especially if he's in that sort of mood. I drew a picture once, but pencil on brown paper doesn't digitize very well. At least not with my (lack of proper) equipment.

As to my latest post, (#70 at the time I'm writing), I have reason to believe that the odious smell which I describe is due to the breakdown of hemoglobin, which I think would happen with the iron getting wrenched free from its bonds.

As always, if i've made an imbecile of myself, feel free to have me change something ^_^

I have had some ideas for a post in mind, so I may get around to actually typing them within a day or two.

Well, Muse is having computer problems. I don't know about the other two.

Just so everyone knows, I'm definitely still here! I'm just not posting at the moment. . . :P

I've not left; I've just been caught up playing Global Thermonuclear War. I got killed in the first round.

I decided to add another enemy into the mix... the mimic. Now we have double trouble!!

SIB: Seems Mack decided to off the rest of us too ;) ...

A clone is an interesting idea (there was actually an old TS concerned with killing a clone of Slayer) :P .

EDIT:
I suggest that someone finish the battle next post or the post after that. I would, but I'm giving those interested another chance to post.

Does the clone think in the same way as Bly? or what? I think Wizard would be able to pick that it's not Bly... on the other hand, I'm not sure if Wizard is conscious.

Oh. Sorry. The mimic is very smart. It'll mimic the behavior of the person it copied exactly, until it senses it can get the drop on someone (example: when you're asleep.) Then... it'll kill that person and split off another black blob, with the newly spawned blob taking on the appearance of the dead person. Nasty.

I like both your ideas, SIB and CC. Body snatchers! Ahh! Maybe one of the blobs should "absorb" some one else? :P

I don't knwo how to finish this battle. It would appear that it's entirely Wizard's decision.

Selax, I had an idea. I was thinking that a blob would become a double of Rapierian-- then have access to all Rapierian's talents, up to and including ability to eat life force (and the witty repartee). How does that sound to you?

Sounds good, but it's not like you need to ask my permission :P Don't forget Alertius's slow pursuit towards Wizard now.

SIB: To be honest, I think that I'd rather not have that happen.

Hmm, I think that I would prefer it if there were not a rash of duplicates. It seems to me that that could distract from the main goal of this TS: to reach the Tree of Life.

Perhaps, it could be used for a future TS (I have an idea for next one if enough people are willing to do it that is).

I think that Wizard plans to deal with the battle soon.

Well, I finally filled in that placeholder post. It doesn't add anything essential except that Altérius believes he knows the location of the tree.

I will try to add a current post soon.

By the way, TwoJacks, I will have to take you up on that offer to edit. I think that Visitor had Altérius slip away from the battle, so he is no longer present. This works best for me as, in my next post, the group will still think Altérius a threat, especially since no one saw him after the battle began. So if you could just remove the part about Altérius' approach on Wizard, I would greatly appreciate it. :P

*POOF!* Edited. I might edit this post later if I post after Wizard's new post. (Which he's typeing up as I type this.)

Hmm, I thought I saw him posting... He might of just been starting to post and decided to finish it later. Oh well.

I would have the blops vaporized (almos) but have a little peice escape the battle for another time.

Yay! 500th post! Look out 600 your in my crosshairs! :P

Third EDIT: Nice post Wizard, runs nice with the post after it.

Okay, I finally got my post up. The problem was that it logged me out half-way through while I was writing it, but I was writing it :P

I had them defeat the mimic as quickly as I could without making it too short.

The current idea is that they have to race to reach the Tree of Life before Altérius. Rapierian, though, knows from his Black Book or whatever it is that the Tree is not in the exact location Wizard thinks and also that it is guarded. I don't really have that planned at all, though. We'll come up with more stuff as the story progresses nearer the Tree.

And thank you for editing that TwoJacks

Ok. Sounds good. I think Bly's headache is starting to wear off.

By the way, just curious: Do you think Bly'll ever have to use the third spell he keeps in the restricted area of his spellbook? In case you're wondering, it's the ultimate last resort of last resorts.

Hmmm ok. I like where this is going. There should be some secret entrance into the mountain where the tree lies, because if there isn't it wouldn't make any sence that some one wouldn't have stumbled upon it already. That's where the silver box could come in, which Alterius still has. He sould get stuck at the entrance, and then pull out the box to learn the secret. Only, the box will open for only one person.

The mark for the box was posted by a researcher researching the tree. Alterius caught wind of this and killed the person off. He was going to get the box from Yomu but arived late at the tavern, where he would also capture Wizard. He succeeded in getting both. However what he doesn't know is that he can't open the box! This wouldn't be his motif for everything, obviously he would have to have known about the tree long before the reasearcher learned about the box.

The person who can open the box should probally be in the current group. What might happen is that Alterius makes it look like he was killed by something and then leaves the box on the ground for the party, while he watches from a concealed safe distance.

What does evertbody think, sound good?

It sounds fine, although personally I'd prefer to just let things happen as they happen in this case. Also, I would suggest asking Wizard (since it's his character) :P .

EDIT:
By the way, did the group manage to get horses or not?

Well I don't think the plot was prgressed enough. I don't think we're in the mood for another camp or monster... Shouldn't we just start to set up the entance to the tree of life? Horses? Don't think so... but I don't think it matters if some one writes them in.

Hmm, I was asking about the horses because I'd mentioned in one of my posts that they were trying to acquire some from the group that they had attacked.

Also, I agree that it's about time that they got near to the Tree of Life. I didn't like moving them all the way there myself, and I've left it open. However, no one seems to have taken advantage of it...

Where did everyone go?

I'm here, I just haven't posted because I'm not sure how to advance the plot.

I have not left... well not completely.
Just i feel that my part in this story is not really that upfront.
also i did not know what to do most of the time.
I will post on occasion though, but only when i think my style of post and theme will fit in with the story.
The sands of time trickle slowly. slowly spirralling down and our lives are but a grain.
