Wow, I wasn't even aware that you were involved in this TS. Your posts must've been so good that they blinded me when I saw them. :P

Uh...Selax must have deleted them. Guess he's still sore over losing that match.

I'm sorry...I had no choice! I did it for everyone else's health!

Everyone was complaining! "I can't see! I looked at Avatara's post, and it was so good that I was blinded!"

I do hope Wizard gets well soon... Maybe we should make him a card and a basket of confectionery treats?

Confectionary treats? :P As tempting as that is, I feel I should inform you that I'm not sick. I was actually heavily burdened by the last couple weeks of school and several finals. . . But I'll still take the candy!

I have finally finished all those finals and should be able to post in the TS soon. Unfortunately, we had a huge snowstorm today, and the power has been blipping on and off. I don't know if I shall be able to write a post today or not.

We'll see.

Well, four months in the making, I finally got my post up, so you can stop procrastinating on my behalf now. :P

I did read your post today, by the way. I thought it was kind of sad, but it was very good.

Yes, unfortunately, I am setting the post off a little bit again. It is Christmas Eve, and tomorrow is Christmas Day. I think pretty much everyone is at home with their families or Christmassing in some other way. It won't matter if the TS pauses for another day or two. There is so much to do right now, and I may be busy again tomorrow. Don't worry, though. I will get that post up sometime soon.

I'm putting the post up at last.

One of my longer fighting sequences, but I'm not sure if I like it too well. I feel that it kind of ends abruptly, but since it is just a fight, I can't decide how much that matters. Opinions?

And, the way it ends, everyone assumes that Altérius is dying. If I remember correctly, now we are going to decide what the Tree actually does, then SoItBegins, or whoever else wants to I suppose, will post with an explanation. I wrote it so that the group is set up to have a talk with the Guardian, but it's up to the poster to decide how to do it.

By the way, make sure to keep Altérius alive. I'll need him in my next post, and he will die once and for all then.

Well, my post will go up in minutes has gone up, so we'll finally find out what the apples do. And it looks as though we still do have serious trouble after all...

Wizard: If you don't like something about my post, just let me know.

P.S: Bly isn't dead, but he's pretty close to being that way.

P.P.S: Finally, Bly's spellbook is still active, and the Restricted page is still unlocked. Anyone who can: I suggest using it.

SIB, your post seems fine, but there are a few things about it that unsettle me somewhat.

I think that Wizard intended for Altérius to be left alone until he had the opportunity to get back to him, although I could be wrong. In addition, another fight at this point seems likely to be counterproductive.

It also seem to me that eliminating the Guardian all at once defeats the purpose of having created one. (It also makes it harder for others to speak with him as Wizard indicated he would prefer to happen.)

Personally, I strongly dislike the apple cider idea as the sole explanation of what the Tree does. Wizard suggested that we make the fruit do something important as well (being the serious explanation of the fruit), but, if you want to make a cider out of the fruit instead of eating it, you may. This idea seems fine to me, although I would personally prefer that the purpose be left ambiguous. (Does Wizard's suggestion seem fine to everyone?)

In case it isn't obvious, the Guardian is only knocked out. He didn't even take damage-- he should return to full energy pretty quick. Bly, on the other hand, is now half-dead.

Oh, and I really didn't intend for another fight scene either. You know how in the Monkey Island games where, at the very end, you have to do what you did a lot earlier in the game to progress, only under different circumstances?(*) I figured you could try something that's worked before, somewhere. Who knows what'll happen!

*(If you don't know what I'm talking about with the Monkey Island series, here's an example: In The Curse of Monkey Island, Guybrush has to make a hangover cure to wake up... well, it's a long story. Later in the game, he has to make the same cure (under vastly different circumstances) to free himself of a curse put on him by LeChuck.)

P.S: Could eating the apple, or using it in some other way, also have a really trivial use? :hopeful:

I am very much afraid to post on the TS as of now really, lol

I don't want to screw up anything or piss people off

and I guess we still don't know what the tree does

I had a couple other ideas

maybe the tree requires a fee of blood to give life, eye for an eye kind of thing
hey, we could sacrifice alterius no? ;D

orrrrr

perhaps the tree is just the center of the Cytheranian universe and it's existence keeps the balance or whatnot and if anything happens to it chaos could ensue..thus granting whoever has control of the tree godlike capabilities...maybe because of the balance each side of the tree has equal branches and equal fruits so if one were to take an apple from one side the balance would sway
it could be the source of all life on Cythera

I don't know

just spewing out thoughts here really

anyway..I hope everyone had a nice holiday :P

Well there was just one thing bugging me. I was wondering if you could edit off the end of your post *puppy eyes*. I was kind of hoping to write the next Altérius monologue; the main problem is that he just lost a huge fight and is dying. It doesn't quite make sense yet for him to come back in full strength, but I will explain that in my next post.

Also, let me expound a bit on my suggestion that Selax alluded to. I'm perfectly fine if you want the apples from the Tree to make great tasting cider. It is, after all, the Tree of Life, so it makes sense that it's fruit would taste wonderful anytime and in any form. But you also said in your post that he who eats of the fruit shall "see beyond." That is the part that I'm going to play off of. So the fruit has two uses: it tastes perfectly wonderful in any form and it will have some other use if you eat of it directly from the Tree.

Anyhow, I shall be posting sometime soon.

Thanks. I think I can work on what you have there; in fact, I already have the entire post planned out. I'll be writing it within the next couple of days, most likely.

Just to give you all an update: I have started work on the post. I have most of it written and plan to finish it tomorrow. So far I like it better than my last post. I felt that my last post was slightly rushed, but this one goes at a better pace.

I hate to triple post, but I knew that nobody would notice an edit :P

Anyways, I finally got that post done, much to my relief. If anybody has any complaints, just let me know, and I'll be happy to edit it. I hope that I didn't tie up the story more than I was supposed to; I just couldn't figure out another agreeable way to end the Altérius' storyline. Thank you, Pippin, for use of Satori!

I think that that will be my last post in this TS. I tried to end it so that it is open for some epilogue-like post by anyone who wants to make one.

Finally indeed! :P It's great, good job! *pats on the back*

I'll work on my post right now, and have it up soon.

I really wanted to introduce my favorite aspect of Yomu in this TS, but it seems to late and it shall have to wait. (and thanks to Selax it doesn't seem to go outside the "laws" of Cythera.)

It was a fun TS. Lets do it again sometime.

Side not: My mind made the voice of the guardian a deeper version of Patrick Stewart. B)

EDIT: Ok just posted. I don't think I have to post again in the TS and maybe in the tavern. If anyone didn't like something they read in my post just let me know and I'll throw scissors at you. ;) Just kiddin' I'll change it if you want.

It's been great! :P

Not a problem Wizard!
I will post one last post, that I think we finish off my character. If I truly want to bring her back there is always ways. although this time I think
the ending has suited my characters smallish history very well and she will stay gone.

The Ts turned out really well, although I did not post very often.
