Kazaam! Suddenly a super high powered insanely large death ray that only effects 1ft. tall Alarics appeared out of no where. Unfortunately, neither Dawn nor Night could figure out how to operate it.

"Where is a very small manual to the super high powered insanely large death ray when you need one!" Dawn cried out.

Dusk, being a far off cousin of Night and Dawn, helpfully handed the manual he carried with him from an important past life to Dawn and said gravely: "Death to ceramic monsters may seem a good cause, but who are you to judge?"

(The absurdity of a man being called Dusk is brought to the fore in this epic tale of lawn gnomes, death rays and medication.)

Dawn grabbed the manuel and started whacking Dusk on the head with it while screaming, "WHY DID YOU BRING ME THIS INSTEAD OF SOME MEDICATION THAT WORKS??!!!!" To Night's horror, the manuel was at least half-ruined.

In all of the comotion that was going on one of the little gnomes got behind them and up to the death ray, being a curious creature that couldn't read it pressed the big red button labled 'Start' and the death ray began to power up....

As Night was cursing himself for not having realized the use of the shiny red button with the giant white letters "S-T-A-R-T" earlier, the death ray suddenly lost power and fell silent. Dawn, throwing the half-destroyed manual to the ground ran to the controls, and shouted in great exasperation, "Confound it, the batteries are dead!"

At that moment, an battery pack fell from the sky and all the heroes dove at it. . .and they all knocked heads and knocked each other out. . .

Several hours later they both woke up, they were tied up and being dragged by lots of the gnomes.

Very soon the trio reached the gnome's encampment, where a 1 ft. tall ceramic Alaric covered in face paint (and with a very decorative necklace of leaves hanging around his neck, along with an assortment of other interesting items) bestowed upon them "a great honor." They soon learned what this "honor" consisted of when they saw an enormous black cauldron being prepared to cook something. . .

Fortunately, it appeared that the gnomes just wanted someone to eat Christmas dinner with. (The gnomes weren't very bright and didn't have the faintest clue what day it was.)

A good question at this time was what gnomes actually ate, 1ft high Alaric gnomes at that.

Then, suddenly all of the gnomes where vaporized, and as the dust clearre, dark saw dawn standing next to the death ray that only affects 1`` gnomes.
Yeah, this isn't my first time here. Yeah, I was an idiot.

However, since this is the Cytheran Time of Troubles, all of the Gnomes came back to life as 1 ft. tall ceramic undead Alaric Lawn Gnomes. Dawn, Night, Dusk, and the new fellow Dark all prepared for a last stand...

The gnomes closed in, and the "heroes" stood back to back. Each of them was wishing that they could think of something dramatic to say.

Dawn turned to Dusk, stared him deeply in his brown eyes, blushed and said, "There's something I've been wanting to tell you for so long. I was the one that stole your lunch money in third grade."

*OoC*
The rules stated that one had to wait three posts before replying, but that seems to have dropped to two and in come cases one. I think that I'll go with one for the moment.

"WHAT?!" Dusk screamed and then pounced on Dawn; the dramatic stand fell apart as the two of them began a violent brawl. Fortunately, the undead gnomes halted their advance to place bets with Night and Dark and each other on the outcome of the fight.

The brawl was brief, lasting only until Day broke. With their fearless leader, and the true source of their power, in shattered pieces on the ground, the gnomes began to disintegrate.

Although Day was broken and his gnomes defeated, he and his army had managed to destroy all of Dawn's medication. Thus, her hallucinations continued and began to worsen...

A giant blur of something fell from the sky directly on top of Day. It was Alaric; the guards at Land King Hall had apparently shot him from the Land King Catapult as their first defense against the gnomes who were now defeated, but the fall had done Day no good and he was now more broken then before.

"Am I hallucinating or did Alaric's guards just shoot him out of a catapult?" Dawn asked her latest hallucination, a large pink rabbit with long fangs.

"I don't know what you are talking about, you must be hallucinating." The pink rabbit said in an English accent.

Shrugging the strange wonders away, Dawn flipped back to reality. Dawn, Dusk, and Night stood alone among shattered fragments of ceramic, with some unfinished business to attend to.

The unfinished business was quite important to them: Dark had lost his bets with everyone else on the outcome of Dawn vs. Dusk and rather than pay up had slipped away in the chaos. The other three vowed to catch him and make him pay up, even if they had to pursue him to the ends of Cythera.

Their search did not take long though because Dark had climbed the nearest tree.
