*In the tavern*

Slayer flips the page in Tavara's Journal, then says, "Now this one looks interesting!" He spends a couple of hours reading and re-reading the next few pages, and doing calculations. Finally, he stands up, grabs his bucket of water, and spreads it around himself in a circle. He casts a spell, then closes his eyes. Slayer's image shimmers as a duplicate of himself, made entirely out of water forms from inside him. The duplicate moves about a meter to his left, then turns into a proper duplicate of Slayer, armor and all. Slayer wobbles over to the nearest chair and collapses into it. The clone opens his eyes, looks around for a moment, then grabs Slayer's copy of Tavara's journal. He then casts a spell which causes all replicas of the journal to burst into flame. The duplicate dashes out the door with the book. Slayer rushes, as best he can, after his clone. No sooner is he out the door than he is propelled back in by a fireball. He pulls himself to his feet, then begins his announcement: "I think I'm going to need some help to defeat my clone. That spell was pretty rough on me. Anyone brave enough, speak up now." Slayer falls into a chair. He mutters to himself, "Why did I have to make an evil duplicate of myself?" Moments later, a rumbling in the distance can be heard, as a storm begins moving in.

"AAAARGH!" Rogan yells as his copy of Tavaras journal catches fire. "We need to find this...this thing, kill it and retrieve the journal!" Rogan quickly writes down the hellfire (drunkard+wall destroying spell) on a scroll and looks out the window. "He could be anywhere by now".

Seeing the fireball from a distance, DF rushes to the tavern. Slayer was lying here, almost dead and completely burned. No more time was wasted in looking, DF gave Slayer a healing potion which revived him. He then gave him water for he looked thirsty. Slayer then offered a quest to DF which was gratefully accepted. They then went off in search of more people to help out

After hearing Rogan scream (no offence) Ferazel comes running. He starts to try Disruption, and fires the ball of timeflux editor. It hits the clone, but the clone was more powerful and it shocked Ferazel with lightning elemental.

I ran down the street towards the source of commotion. Moments earlier I had seen a fireball erupt from near the bar. As I dashed around the corner, I ran full on into Slayer, who was also coming around the corner. He hardly looked at me, but kept running. I got to the bar, out of breath, and was surprised to see the doorway charred and ruined. "What happened here?" I asked.

*A drunken Avatara stands up and runs into the wall a couple times before finally finding the doorway, only to run right into theKestrel. The impact sobered Avatara up, and both people were knocked to the ground, Avatara causing a table to snap in half. Both stand up, and Rogan quickly tells the two what happened. Rogan and Kestrel dash after Slayer, but Avatara calmly walks outside.

The rest of the group continues their pursuit of the evil clone, none of them seeming to notice that a hidden Avatara follows behind.*

Talos, wanting to take a break from his career as a bartender, and do some good for Cythera, puts a heavy metal lock in charge of the bar. He then runs down the street to catch up with the commotion.

"We probably have enough people," says Slayer. "It seems that my clone went in the drection of the mountains." Slayer and the rest of the party set out towards the mountains. A short while later, an enormous burst of crimson energy is seen in the distance. From the energy comes an huge pillar of light that grows taller until it reaches the clouds. Almost immediately, the sky begins turning blood red, centering around the pillar. "That look like it's coming from the old strongholds along the western edge of the mountains!" The wind begins picking up as the adventurers continue on their quest.

"Looks like rain," Talos muttered.

It had been raining for about the last twenty minutes, and no one had paid much attention. However, the rain was not its usual color, and it was definitely not harmless...

"AAARGH!" Rogan yells again, "that hurt!" The rain was extremly hot, and everyone felt the hot drops on their head and shoulders. "We have to hide!" Slayer yelled and ducked under a large rock. A few seconds later, everyone were under the large rock. "Maybe if we used our shields as cover" Rogan suggested, "we could propably get to the mountains without getting hurt...if we don`t encounter any enemies..."

Talos tested Rogan's theory with his own small shield. The rain drops hit the shield, but bounced off (although it did make a good deal of steam in the process.) With each person putting a shield on their head, they ventured from under the rock...

The main problem with this though was that the rain seemed to eat away at the shield after a few minutes. DF grumbled for he had just bought this new shield. It was to replace the magical one he had lost in a fight against a dragon. Didn't do much good DF thought to himself as he announced his discovery to the rest of the group. The entire group saw a cave up ahead.
"It seems to go in the right direction" Slayer said as he bolted towards it "Lets go this way seeing as we have no other choice"
So the group now went through a dark cave system to find the evil clone. There was growling up ahead. It seemed much larger than any normal beast...

"****". Rogan looked at his new dragon shield, partly eaten away by the acid rain. "Great" he continued, "now I have to walk all the way to that cave and get Eioneus to make me a new one...and those shields are expensive!" Suddenly, someone gasped. Rogan looked up and noticed the creature in front of him. It was a...

...small goblin. They dispatched it quickly, but it was obiously a scout - light armor, light boots, only a cap - meaning that there were definitely more goblins in the subterranean maze ahead of them.

And the rain showed no signs of letting up...

*A field behind them burst into flames, due to the rain. The adventurers saw it was only getting worse. They also noticed that the big cloud seemed to be following them...*

Worried about the rain, and worried about the caverns ahead, they decide to camp where they are. The watch will have two people, for extra safety. Talos and DF are put up for the night...

I motioned Slayer over to the corner I sat in. When Slayer sat down, I began to talk.
"Do you feel any kind of "sense" of your twin? Do you think you would be able to locate him from a close distance? If there is some sort of connection between you, I may be able to determine a spell which would link both of you...the effect being, if I put you to sleep, your clone would be put to sleep also. The dangers of this are obvious...if someone were to kill your clone, or even seriously injure him......"

*The unlucky adventurers didn't notice that the rain was quickly eating through the rock above them...*

Rogan heard what Kestrel was telling Slayer and said: "The replicate self spell was written down in Tavaras journal, right?" Slayer agreed. Rogan continued: "maybe there was a terminate replicate self spell or something like that in the journal too? So we could destroy the evil twin without have to worry about Slayer...only problem is that the evil twin has the book". Suddenly, a sound was heard from above. The rain hadn`t stopped and was still eating trough the rock...

Slayer discusses the matter with Kestrel. "I don't think that linking spell would be a good idea. I can sense him ever so slightly, though. It feels as though he may have access to a huge source of power, though I'm not certain what that might be." During the end of the last sentence, the loud clang of a sword could be heard from Talos' direction.

Slayer and Kestrel rushed out to Talos and discovered a small skeleton lying on the floor. "What happened here?" asked Kestrel. "That skeleton there came out of the shadows and tried to kill me," Talos said while pointing to the skeleton. "He wasn't much of a challenge." Slayer said, "This looks like the skeleton of one of those things we killed earlier! I think that maybe this isn't the best place to stay." Slayer, Kestel, and Talos went back to the camp and told the other adventurers of this new development.

As the party ventured onward, the cave behind them collapsed. "Good thing we got out of there!" exclaimed Avatara, "That must have been caused by the rain." The sizzling of the rain against the stone could be heard clearly. Rogan said, "Now that I've had time to think about it, I remember a spell from Tavara's journal that has the power to control the weather. I think it could be used to neutralize this rain, but in order to cast it, I'll need some of you to lend me a portion of your power." Avatara, Kestrel and Slayer all agree to help with this. They all go over to the opening in the ceiling of the cave. Rogan and the others link hands allowing their magic power to be concentrated into Rogan. Rogan casts a spell which sends a column of bright white light into the sky. Moments later, the rain still beat down upon the rocks, but the sizzling stopped. Slayer takes his pack off his back and distributes a large number of black potions among the spell casters. "These ought to help a little bit." Slayer downed a couple of potions, and commented, "It's like drinking broken glass."

As the adventurers moved on, they came to cliff overlooking an enormous open area in the cave. There was a steep, though safe way down to the left of them. Below them, they saw a large community of goblins. Walking among and prodding the goblins were many demons, and many more skeletons of goblins. It was quite clear that the goblins were being forcibly changed into undead...

The demons were the first to notice the adventurers. They commanded the undead to attack them. The goblins attacked too. It was noticed that the goblins attacking pleased the demons quite immensly. They were standing by with magic spells to change any goblin should he fall in battle.
"We are out numbered at least 10-one here" DF announced as he drew his sword "Magic would be helpful"
DF's eyes started to glow as he chanted something. The whole group then suddenly started glowing with a faint blue hue. It was obvious that DF was putting a protective shield around them for battle. The rest of the group then decided to draw their weapons and charge magic attacks for battle...

"Callie!" Ferazel yelled. He casted a spell for Callie to come. *Yes,* Calie said. "Help them attack the undead, demons, and goblins. I'll be powering up spells, so they'll be ready to fire." Ferazel replied. *No problem!* Callie said. She then ran up to a goblin, and casted Lightning. *This won't be to...* Callie said as a demon picked her up. She then casted Death Strike, and the demon dissipeared.

Suddenly, something really funny happened. A goblin swung his mace and hit a demon in the head. The demon responded with a fire spell. The goblins went totally crazy and decided to betray their masters. The fight started, and everyone laughed very good. Rogan took a sip of his wine and smiled.
