Well, I got my intro to the TS posted in the Tavern. I also made a brief placeholder in the TS; I'll put more detail, dialogue, etc. in tomorrow.

I'm going to stop adding names to the list, because secrets and twists are starting to come out and I don't want to reveal any spoilers for those who haven't read it all yet. (though why you'd read the OoC Discussion topic before you read the posts the OoC thread is talking about is beyond me)

I can think of two other names that need to go on that list. . .

(No! It's not Ozzie and Harriet -or- Abbott and Costello!) :P

Tacked a big edit right on the end of my last post to include an interesting sequence Cache and I discussed.

@Cache:

That is basically how I imagined the scene playing out. If you had a different idea that you would rather use, or if there is a problem with Kwon's dialogue, just let me know via PM and I will fix it straight away ^^

Double Post

OK, I have another section that I edited into my last post.

If you want to blame anything for this new section blame the fact that no one has posted in too long. I can't continue looking at that thread and not seeing anything new, my mind can obviously not handle it.

Oh, I wasn't looking at you when I said that Cache, not directly at you, more in the general direction of everyone.

So, if no one wants any more inane humor from Aron, someone should post ;).

Otherwise I'm going to figure out how to write out breakdancing and have Aron go up to one of the nobles and "Bring It".

Looking at the posts made tonight, I think we should try to have cache or Rythan (who is out until Friday, most likely) post soon, to balance out the storylines and have the Ronin catch up on what has happened, or what happened to them while the assassin stuff was going on.

Problem is, you guys started so late that I'm almost done. :P One more post would finish things up, for me, unless I can think of a way to stretch it out a bit.

Well, you could tie up your thread and come over to the main plotline, which, as I understand it, is the severe lack of napkins.

Part of that was several individuals had expressed a strong desire to have a real ball, so we let them have their fun for a bit before twisting into this stuff.

Do you know what a McGuffin is? Since my thread is the only one following the McGuffin, it is the main plotline. :P What's been happening in the last few posts is muddying things up, somewhat (i.e. they're not following the McGuffin, therefore the story is in danger of losing its McGuffin, and risks collapsing under its own weight.) Unless someone finds a way to tie everything back to the McGuffin.

yes, I suppose it is time to go after the primary McGuffin. I think a Ball might work better with a different rule set, more like the Redux, which unfortunately got out of hand.

Just so everyone's clear, the McGuffin in this story (up to a point) has been the invitations. Every character who was present had a connection to the invitations, within about two degrees of separation. They either received one, or they were there to see someone who received one, or they accompanied someone who was there to see someone who received one; or they sent them, or they worked for those who sent them. What's happening with Sideline, Rythan and the Ronin is a direct consequence of the reason the invitations were sent.

Then, thud, Rapierian appears and does his bit, with no real connection to anything. You can get away with that as long as it remains an aside; but it's been turned into a major plotpoint, crossing everything that's gone before it at a tangent.

Unless a way is found to tie all that back to the invitations and other related events, then instead of one coherent story, we essentially have two stories, that just happen to be occurring at the same time and place. Or one story with no McGuffin, which is no story at all.

yes, we seem to have several stories fighting for ascendancy, of which Selax' seems to have no connection to the invitations, except in completely avoiding them.

I feel like one of: Avatara, cache22, iKaterei, or Ragnar0k -are the most likely to be able to pull the story together.

I do have an idea on how to tie them in, sort of, but I'm out in the mountains this weekend and probably can't get a post in until Monday.
