Here i offer you the ability to voice the great mysteries that you come across in your everyday humdrum accounting lifestyles. To get the ball rolling:
In California Helmans Mayonnaise is known as 'Best Foods Mayonnaise! wierd or what!
Also in many countries outside of Eire Lynx is know as 'Axe'! mmm... mysterious!
Wow, you read a post by Ankhwatcher you must be so proud.

You only wish, ankwatcher. Accounting is a state of mind, not an existence we are doomed to. Anyway, in Minnesota, people say, 'tag' as 'taig.'

It is indeed odd.
At last he came to a door, with these words in glowing emeralds: THE END OF THE WORLD. He did not hesitate. He opened the door and stepped through.

I went to Dun Laoghaire for a sailing competition last August. There were tonnes of drug needles lying around outside our hotel. Not a very nice place.

There is a different name for "Walls" ice cream in practically every country.

Some fools call soda "pop", and even worse, some misguided southerners refer to any carbonated beverage as coke!

I think the whole Hellman's/Best Foods thing is dependent on which side of the Mississippi you live on. I grew up with Hellman's growing up in DC, but here in Oregon it's Best Foods. I prefer the Hellman's brand name myself, as we on the east coast obviously know how to label our brands better.
I've got the brains you've got the looks let's make lots of money

Bah, their commercial jingle works one heck of a lot better with Best Foods: "Bring out the Best Foods and bring out the best" is far superior to "Bring out the Hellman's and bring out the best."

Another mystery is how someone, such as my building's weekend security guard today, can say, "New York City has more people, per capita, than any other city in the US" and not have their head instantly implode.

I suppose it depends on what your used to. I thought that "Because food love Hellmans, so bring out the Hellmans bring out the best" sounds better. Besides at this level of micro management using best twice in the jingle sounds poor!

If the plural of goose is geese, then why isn't the plural of moose, meese?

(a life goal of mine is to change this)

he was suggesting what darth whatsisname hands out.
Klaus Fombilos!!!
-what the hell does that mean
and the geese thing was somewhat covered by Zig and Zag in their poem "if an orange is orange" which i would recite to you if i could:
1. remember it.
or
2. remember where i put it.
someone else will probably do the job for me though.

Man, Zig and Zag, now there is a blast from the past...
