Ah, are you sure he is that great? Rexxar was strong, because his bear was no normal bear, but the normal BM seems somewhat weak, especially with stampede.

Sorry, I'm talking about the Blademaster, not Beastmaster. Beastmaster is weak stuff. Blademaster has the potential to be a huge pain in the ass.

Yes, particularly with that sword of his Posted Image

And yes, he's annoying, particularly for his unnaturally efficient hero killing.

Plus, his Wind Walk is very very cheap, IMO. Invisibility for 20 seconds, improved speed, bonus damage, no cooldown at level 1? Makes it incredibly easy to kill the other sides workers and is very hard to counter unless you feel like putting out the extra cash and time to get a store and DoA.
[edit]And given that the BM has pretty decent mana, you need to be willing to put out the $ to buy LOTS of DoA...

I love doing that. Especially against NE, the wisps don't move. Its hardest against undead, as ghouls are real fighting units as well.

But those acolytes are quite vulnerable.

Then you must be fightin some real crappy NE-they tend to be the hardest to do it to if they play their cards right. Of course, if they aren't real good at hard micro, then it is easy to do it to NE.

The weirdest strategy i've ever seen was:

Undead vs. Undead. My opponent sends in an acolye to my base, and uses it to attack my haunted gold mine. It was kinda scary because i heard "our base is under attack" but didn't see anything attacking-it looked like one of mine.

What made this odd was that it was pretty far into the game.

And NE are hard to do straight hero-rushes against, but really easy rushed with a crypt lord and a bunch of ghouls.

I don't play much true warcraft anymore.... I usually do custom games. I could talk about Footmen Frenzy forever. It is just so awesome

Have you ever gotten the secret custom hero? He's a sheep. He learns starfall, Big bad voodoo, tranguility (you can level these up to do/heal more damage and BBV lasts longer each time. All of them get shorter cooldowns) and his ultimate is the exploding thunderlizard thing that the beastmaster gets.

I was playing a map with a marketplace, and eventually had a level ten Blademaster with a lightning orb, and five gloves of haste. It was awesome because he attacked so fast that I could take out entire bases with just him, and a healer. (If I was lucky)

That's pretty impressive. Its a shame your opponent sucked that bad though. At least, shame for them. Countering just a hero, or hero w/ 1 healer, is pretty easy. Even if the hero has attained Baddass® Status.

I expect Bladestorm helped that?

five gloves of haste...some of those must have been huge.

Despite the fact that I wouldn't be able to breathe at such a low altitude and high ambient humidity, I can't concieve of any night being bad in Hawaii so long as you aren't in prison or the hospital.
