Well, since I am planning to get beaten by Av Saturday night weboard time, I figure, why not have everyone join in? I know most people here play, so if you feel like it, stop by gateway US west The Frozen Throne. I will be there from around 10am-12pm australia time, 8-10pm Eastern US time, 7-9 pm US central and 5-7 pm US west.

I own it, but I'm so bad I won't be there. Use map setting games are more fun.

I own it, love it, play on USWest, and would love to be there. Unfortunately, I leave town for 8 days Saturday morning. Would you be willing to have it be Friday night perhaps? Either way, I want a replay of your game. Then I want the chance to stomp (or get stomped) by one of you.
FGS: Melee games are the best. No question. Heretic.

I think you are better then me. My record is 10-47. That is bad.
I don't even know how I could become better, I spend my gold fast on units and upgrades and creep fast. My strategy is to mass archers (multiple ancients of war) with trushot aura, and then buy a demon hunter when I get to level 4 PoM.

I'm guessing you use orcs, which actualy may make me change stratagy. Grunts are good against archers, and Orc doesn't have great flying units, so mass huntress might be a good plan.

Can anyone do it friday night, so as to not make me miss it?

Tip: Don't tell him what you are planning. He can instantly choose its weak point. You go mass hunts, he goes mass wyvs, game over. A PotM by herself can't take down a wyv army.

It was Saturday because that's the only night I'm capable of playing FT with a keyboard and a connection that doesn't lag as horribly as this computer-to-computer thing.

Then again, AIM requests to beat your foreign mod are usually accepted. Posted Image

Trah, this seems to have been so perfectly timed - as nobody else is in town for it. Posted Image

What an odd choice of words. I mean, neither of you guys will necessarily be "in town" for it either. You certainly might be in your respective towns, but that fact has nothing to do with the traditional meaning of the phrase. Very interesting.

I'm around all weekend, so I could play you Friday night. Just tell me what time, making sure to include time zone, and I'll be there, if I can (only reason I wouldn't is if my friends are on AIM, which they hardly ever are, and, you know, talking to friends you haven't seen for 6 months > warcraft).

Actually, I'd place my money on Trah. I tried my first custom FT game yesterday and all of the things I was used to in RoC changed completely, so my strategies need major revamping in the next 19 hours. *gulp*

I tried to practice by playing people on bnet, but I lost 4 of 5, so I think I'm going to revert to playing easy/medium comps.

I'm gonna post when I wake up tomorrow (Saturday night for you is Sunday morning for me) to say I'm logging onto Bnet, so could you do that too when you log on?

If you don't mind some constructive critisicm:
Your general idea is pretty good for WCIII BNET team games, but not solo. Teching in solo doesn't work out so well-admittedly, the second/third tier needs to be reached, but nowhere near the speed you were hittin it. Solo needs more massing/micro tactics with the first tier. You'll notice alot of NE players, me included have a tendancy to hunt rush strait off no matter what, unless there are some specialized circumstances. Of course, I don't know if you usually play NE or not, I think you took random. Regardless, you had the right idea with 2 pumping centers for first tier units. You should have gotten armor upgrades though-archs have bonus damage vs hunts, you need to focus on staying alive. Good idea with the prots, just needs to be a little faster-most people prefer to get one before they even rush.
My 2 ¢.

Do you mind if we do RoC, or are you still aiming for FT? They *really* changed the gold/lumber ratios for virtually everything orcish (and probably a lot of other stuff too).
