Do you mind if we do RoC, or are you still aiming for FT?  They *really* changed the gold/lumber ratios for virtually everything orcish (and probably a lot of other stuff too).

I could do RoC, I haven't played it it a long time, but sure.

I'll stop by channel att now.

Well, it is looking bad. Neither of us can host, and we don't know anyone to host for us, unless someone here can. I tried opening ports 6112-6119, but I still couldn't host. Posted Image

Well, I was able to get around my router by plugging the ethernet cable from the cable modem directly into my PowerBook.

I uploaded the replay, but I don't know how to link to it. Here is a link to the folder it is in, I hope anyone who wants it can figure it our from there:
it is titled: av.w3g http://zoxler.net/pics/

It was a very good match; we were pretty even though Av won in the end. He killed my pretty well, but had no anti air, so I build a few archer rider things and fought him off. I knew he could just come back and kill me so I moved my base, walking my buildings away. I was building up a second base when I had to go driving, but I don't think i could have come back to win.

By the way, the replay is RoC 1.15, in case you can't view it through FT. FT was freezing on me earlier today, hence the downgrade to WC3 original.

Wow... I just watched the replay.... I can't believe how stupid I was!! I had the win... but I scroll of town porteled away!

Just when we had our first battle, I killed all Av's units but his far seer and a regular unit. I had both my heros, 4 or 5 archers, and 3 or 4 huntresses. I could have won if I had continued the attack instead of running Posted Image

That's Trah for you. Posted Image

You also only attacked from the top, you could've easily hit me from the bottom (I didn't have the cash to invest on defenses on both angles) and my undefended outpost at just about any point you had units. You even probably could have harrassed my peons (at least the lumber ones) with air units.

Well, I'm back from Montana. Empty, empty Montana. Good to see we have a nice big WCIII crowd here.
I'm on summer, but I have stuff in the morning Mon-Thurs, so I only stay up to midnight Utah time on the preceding nights. Other nights, we can go as late as you want. In case you didn't catch it earlier, I play as jingo@lordaeron. I assume we are all on Lordaeron? And Av, ROC is fine by me.
Znorty: Bring it on, I have no objection to losing (which I do waaaay too much).
Trah: Hunt/arch rush is a good idea. Lots of NE players will do an all out hunt rush and tech while you rush. If you want, I can give you a few steps to follow (and of course, change to suit your style, but its always good to have a starting point)
Av: I'm a pirate. In otherwords, I'd love to play you as well, and maybe we could get a trash talk FFA thing goin on?
Hosting games: Well, I have a computer on which I can host games, but its very choppy for playing WCIII and I don't like to play on it. I could host games for the rest of you though. If someone gave me another WCIII FT CD key (don't think I'd need another RoC one) I could use it to host on the choppy comp and play on the good one...I suppose one of you could give me your FT key, I promise only to use it to host games when you allow it, and you would just have to sit out that game...I'd have to sit out some others, its only fare....perhaps we take turns having our CD key be used to host?

Yay! Someone who can host! No more CD-key yahtzee plan! I'll contact you about a game in a few days.

I just watched the Trah vs Av replay. I can't offer Av any help because I dislike Orcs. Trah: Your biggest problem is one that everyone has: lack of practice and order. You need to have a set order for what is going to happen when in the beginning. Your buildings finish and you will sometimes just leave the wisp sitting there doing nothing else. Run through the strategy a few times, maybe write it down and you will become much faster. Also, remember to FF-increases your troops effectiveness double.

I don't really understand that sentence... I never became fluent in the hundreds of Warcraft acronyms. I only know the hero acronyms, such as PoM, and MK.

Sorry, I am teh sukc at making myself clear. FF=focus fire. Just micro your troops so they attack the same target in unison, instead of letting them run wild. Reduces your enemies damage output much faster.
