Anyway, I am afraid that no matter how much sympathy I may have for those who believe in small government, there is absolutely no way that said fondness could justify voting for Bush. The social costs (war on abortion, gay marriage - any progression in social freedom), environmental toll (the number of environmental laws he's subverted is criminal), and global politics (Nobody is hated in the world like Bush. Nobody. He's turned the world against America) all make any minor economic gains he may have managed to achieve completely meaningless.

Dubya doesn't even seem to want small government... if he did, why would he make so many new laws to limit people's freedom?

May I quote that as evidence to show my friends that Bush made the world hate America, seeing as you are part of that world?

We don't and liberals do? What a load of horse****. I'll believe it when you tell your masters and minions to drop the war on Christians and Republicans, quit trying to get God out of schools and society, stop snipping on our rights and spying on our churches, and immedietly disband the orginization known as "The Imperium," the name of which is illegal use of a Catholic trademark, and the existence of which is a blasphemy in God's sight. THEN I'll believe you, not before.

I actually do enjoy refuting your arguments on Just Chat, because it's rather easy to do, and you keep making the same mistakes.
However, this is neither the time nor the place to be discussing that, as email works fine for personal issues.
In this case, I just thought I'd point out, for your benefit, that moderators don't take orders from members, so to speak. But since you knew that, it's all good.

There's no war anywhere, son. I hate to tell you, but as a part of life, sometimes people don't get along. Liberals are people for new ideas, sometimes radical, and conservatives and christians generally are against change. For example, look at the Republican party's other name: The GOP. The Grand 'ol Party.

It is a generally valid truth that "liberals" are more open to societal change than "conservatives". However, there are always exceptions; for instance, "conservatives" are often more open to welfare reform than liberals. You've got to keep facts like this in mind when making sweeping generalisations.

I think LK might have found my webcam in his church basement. Sorry about that, I was clumsy in hiding it.
I would just like to state that despite the fact that I happen to be a liberal myself in most areas, I want to hit people who make statements like "Liberals want people besides themselves to have rights. Conservatives don't." with a dead fish. This is oversimplifying it to a huge degree, and insulting an awful lot of people for no reason. I'm sure I could find you some conservatives who want rights for others. In fact, one is in the room with me right now-my mom, who is a Republican, a conservative, pro choice and pro gay marriage.
