I went and saw The Passion of Christ. That was a depressing movie. Well, not really depressing. Its more like it put Jesus in a whole new light, and set a lot of things into place in my head. Just that horrible things they did to him......

That was really, really well made movie. I'm not Christian, but I still really enjoyed it. I recommend that people see it. It sets some things in perspective.

I am what some would call a "Jesus Freak". As in, I worship Jesus just the same as God. And in being that, I wept. And I mean WEPT. I was sobbing by the end of that movie. Everyone should see it. Its just excellent. It shows the true power of the Lord Jesus (Yeshoua, if you've seen it already). I can stand by this because only Messiah could have endured so much pain and suffering, and still ask the Lord God to forgive his tomentors.

I can't relate to "Jesus freaks" or anyone who takes offence at people questioning the basis/beliefs of their religion. I'm probably going to go see the Christ film, simply because I'm interested in how they portray the Zealots and in the entire "dead" language aspect of the film.

Its not a "dead" language. Its just uncommon. My sisters best friend Kami's family can all speak it fluently. I beleive its called Airimeic or something. He family if from Iraq and Iran, but are all Assyrian. That movie really moved Kami because she never hears that language in the US. She also didn't have to use the subtitles that are provided. So, in esscense, she got to hear and understand exactly what Jesus was saying. I wish I could do that...

That movie was incredible. Yea, I cried..but partially because I do believe in God. But, I would have whether I was religious or not.

The part when he fell as a little boy...that just...ooh boy...that was *tear* that was the kicker!

Definitely, it's good for anyone to see.

Pesonaly, the whole Jesus thing is a [comment removed for the good of my karma], but why do you have to be religious to beleive in Jesus? And that movie looks really bad, I'll rent it, I guess. I pity people who like that movie, probaly liked Underworld also. sad.

I'm OK at speaking Latin, but that doesn't mean that it is any less of a dead language (in that it is no longer the official language of any significant group or society). Aramaic hasn't been widely used since the first Islamic expansion in which most societies speaking the language were converted to Islam and took on Arabic as an official language, and was absorbed by Hebrew speakers elsewhere. In the small areas where it is spoken, it is that, almost entirely a spoken language, Arabic has taken over all official correspondance, thus its classification as a dead language.

yes, that's the Christian thing to do.

Heh - if that movie doesn't move someone then you have to start wondering. TL, it's just hard to look at the world and not see it as created. No machine that works as well together as the world does ever happened by chance.

Anyway, I don't think we even have the attention span required for a religous debate Posted Image.

And, be nice to those with differing opinions - flaming non-christians isn't going to make them like us any more than they already do... heh...

I generally find religio obselete and laughable. And religion promotes ignorance which really bugs me.

I agree. Which is why I am not a religious person. I'd rather make up my own opinions about things rather than have an old book written by people a thousand years ago tell me what to think.

However, I do find relgions facinating. I think I am going to take some sort of course in college if I can find one.

Part of religion is to find what you believe in. Just because the Catholic church tells me to believe in this this and this..I don't always...I believe in what I want to.
