A piccolo recorder is vastly more portable than a flute, what with it's smaller size and lack of valves and all.

Sadly I no longer own or really play bassoon, but yes, it is the most kickass instrument ever. And a Contra is at least double the fun.

I do love the sax. Looks and sounds awesome. It's on my list to learn how to play after Acoustic Guitar...

It's definitely one of the easier instruments to learn.

I'd kinda' like to learn to play the mandolin/mandola. Of course, buying one would interfere with my buying photo equipment, so I'm not sure if I'll do it.

Bassoons cost a ridiculous amount of money, as I understand.

And yeah, trombone is pretty damn cool. Best thing to do with a trombone..

Step 1: Remove mouthpiece
Step 2: Replace with saxophone mouthpiece
Step 3: Blow as hard as you can
Step 4: Move slide while blowing
