Q: Why can't your nose be twelve inches long?
A: Because then it would be a foot!

I can work in the Imperial units if I think hard. But I always have to convert to metric to work anything complicated out.

[EDIT] And again! What is it with me and new pages?

And the winner of the text only entry goes to CrazyChick for "Watch for B&B on bridge." Encountering the B&B anywhere is dangerous enough. Throwing a bridge into the recipe is an equation for disaster. - Ragashingo

I use both, but for different reasons, and I can't convert. I'm 5'4", but my fingertip is about 3 cm long (estimation). I have no idea how large an inch is, but I do have an idea of a foot. I have an idea of a centimetre, but not a metre.

It's only new page if you show 25 per page.

40>25.

Both literally and figuratively.

You try rendering 40 posts/page on a p3/500 and Firefox...

Was that a statement or a command?

I'm a bit taller than 6', so maybe 1.85 meters.

An inch is approximately the width of your thumb.

He used the imperative tense, so it was a command.

Man, I feel your pain. I had dial-up until about a year ago. I am NEVER going back.

I'm not giving up competitive ski racing to have constant access to high-speed modem(s).

I agree with Anax and Manta. I used to have a dial-up, and my parents could tell how long I'd been on the internet. Now they can't! hehe

You do know that they could fix that simply by switching back to the wondrous world of dial-up.

They're not going to, because Broadband is much faster.
Also because me and my sister will throw a joint hissy fit if they switch. :P

That wouldn't be very nice. You should learn to respect your parents. Especially your dad.
