WoW is taking over the digital world. We should declare war. Every day a loyal member falls into its awful clutches...they've already taken over ten million of us. and just wait until the expansion comes out. this could get bad. very bad.

Never fear! I am a cheapass! I am safe unless I can play for free at which point you would never, ever see me again.

Heh, I really like the REAL Warcraft.

They shouldn't have made an RPG based on a RTS.

Don't declare war yet, I'm still working on my fifth sixty.

I play WoW, but not much – I've had it for three weeks and played maybe 5-6 hours in that time.
At last he came to a door, with these words in glowing emeralds: THE END OF THE WORLD. He did not hesitate. He opened the door and stepped through.

Luckily this computer is probably way too slow to enable playing WoW, so I can focus on that company whose board we're using.

Actually, 12 million active registered accounts in the US alone if I recall correctly.

I kind of had a million dollar idea though:

If even 0.1% of those users are fanatic enough (and I'd be shocked if it was that few), Blizzard could make even more of a fortune by holding a massive WoW-Con... a Woodstock for the World of Warcraft. Hell, if 0.1% of the users shelled out say... $300 per person for a weekend long event, that's still a healthy amount of revenue.

I thought they recently hit 7.5 million worldwide.

They kind of did with their "BlizzCon". The drawback is, it was hosted in Irvine, California, so even if .1% of their fanbase was interested, the whole "flying down to CA" aspect thinned down the numbers significantly. I suppose it'd be that way no matter where they held it, with a widely distributed fanbase it'd be difficult finding a location accessible to most.

We had a problem of that sort when we had NovaCon...

right, I think it was sort of stupid that they made what was a really fun RTS game into a MMORPG. i think if I ever get into mmorpgs I'll get Guild Wars, which has no monthly fee (I can have a good conscience about doing hsomething else worthless)

I think maybe I should get my hands on the Enigma engine and make a World of Starcraft mod for it. Then again, it would kill the whole point, and be like those "Star Trek" maps for Starcraft.

Those maps were sins against nature. They were bastardized by trekky starcraft addicts. I abolish them forthwith.

What about declaring star on Starcraft?

Which reminds me, TAC, you ever tried Nexuiz? Downloaded it last weekend and I got addicted in no time.

The best way to declare war on WoW is to mention the recent changes to the druid class. Wahahahahaha. P.S WoW Killed Azzy.
