Many of our avatars come from very obvious places (mine, for instance. For the uninitiated, you get this when your Mac can't find a boot disk). I'm curious to know where the more obscure come from. I know that some of them were made by you, and some are from distant corners of the Internet. I've seen one that came from a blackbox (X11 windowmanager) theme, to name the most obscure I've managed to identify.

Old avatars welcome as well, if you can find them and put them up.

Also, I know this is ATT... but please try not to drag it off topic until post 50 or so...
You put what in my Power Mac?

Mine is that sticker you got on your Marathon 1 box. Seeing I don't have mine, I got this one on the internet. http://www.eyrie.org...ianne/marathon/ I seem to remember mine was silver.

I stole mine from one of the standard galleries of EV-Nova.net. I had a previous avatar which was a golden Marathon symbol, though, which I made entirely from scratch. I'm also thinking of shooting a picture of this animal skull I have and using that, too.

Ahhh- So that is why your line under your avatar had been "Durandal."

A is for.... nevermind.

My old avatar is the classic Marathon trilogy BoB. It was all three BoBs morphed into one. It is on the trilogy release page.

I honestly can't remember if my member title had been Durandal when I changed my avatar, or if I changed it later on. I think it's the latter, but I'm not completely sure. I mean... I've had this avatar for about a year and a half.

Mine's a silhouette of Gadget from Chip 'n' Dale's Rescue Rangers. The only other avatar I've had was Roger Dean's old Yes logo.

I'm contemplating changing it, but I'm not sure.
<kyo> it didn't just crash, it spit out a ginormous error message with several hundred numbers, and I'm pretty sure a middle finger.
