I don't care either. I just want CytheraX. Maybe we should send a petition to whoever it is that writes the game, saying "we all want CytheraX, so jolly well hurry up and write it!".

Maybe if you sent a lot of money with the petition it would help them feel good about working long hours on the project.

As far as i remember, we only got to one patch, then that patch or the OSX caused issues with being able to start Cythera. However, I have lost contact with the Beta Testing email due to leaving comcast and forgot to somehow change my email 
.... So there could possibly be a new patch that went out recently.
I don't think that Ambrosia is likely to ressurect Cythera with CytheraX but instead make a more complete and better graphic fantasy RPG game...

I kind of cringe every time this thread is bumped because Cythera X is still a distant possibility.

I'm with DarkJet. Ambrosia wouldn't waste time with an outdated and kinda crappy (but still awesome) RPG. It will be sad because if they do make another RPG, it won't be set in Cythera, which means that although it will most likely have much better graphics and gameplay etc, the story won't be half as good.

The last official word I recieved in the beta for Cythera X was November 11, 2005. That was essentially Andrew being hopeful that it would recieve continued effort from Glenn.
Never heard anything else from Glenn. Avatara might know something beyond that, but I doubt it.
The last beta was sent out December 17, 2004. Even that does not work anymore, but the beta is still on Ambrosia's servers. Whether for a purpose, or simply not deleted, it exists.
However, I seriously doubt that anything will further come of Cythera X. Not to be a pessimist, and I assure you, I love Cythera, but realistically, I think that it has been far too long for anything to continue, and Ambrosia has a rightful duty to continue work on projects that are making them money, or have the potential to make them money, not just those that are pro bono. (Andrew already stated that Cythera X would be free for registered users of Cythera.)
Furthermore, Glenn has repeatedly rejected the possibilities of a Cythera 2. And we also know that the Delver engine is extremely difficult to code with.
Sorry to bring down the mood, but I thought I ought to get the facts out there.

Hate to dig up an old topic, but I honestly love this game and would do most anything I could to help Glenn or Andrew. Not giving up hope on Cythera X. In the meantime, is there some beta or anything I can run on X to hold me over until it comes out? (if it ever does, that is)
