*...Three members of the crowd accedentially trip and fall in. Two are lucky enough to land on top of rubble, safely, while one unfortuantely breaks his neck in the fall.*
Back to the tavern..
*The members of the bar seem unphased by the rumbling and continue playing their games. Only a select few actually knew what was going on in out there.*

After an hour, Tyrael picks himself up.*
"Well, its been fun but I gotta go."
*Tyrael calmly walks out of the bar, heading off to Pynx. Talos notes with a smile that Tyrael was good at keeping one step ahead of his opponent...*

"You received the payment?"
"Yes."
"Good, do you know of anyone besides Polynices that makes desks and tables? Perhaps some of his children?"
"Hm...., I will have to look into that for you Kestrel."
"Thanks."
"Did you hear the Lost Tomb of the Tyrant was discovered?," Avatara asks.
theKestrel looked sharply at him, "Have you heard of what may have been discovered there?"
"No, that man of there only just spoke of the discovery."
"That man passed out on the floor?"
"Yep, that's him."
"Well, son of a bitch." theKestrel walks over to the man, and a green nimbus surrounds him and flows into the man. He looks around startled, then says, "Who are you?"
"I am theKestrel."
"Thank you, Kestrel."
"Certainly, don't think I did it just for you. I need information that you possess. What was found in the tomb?"
"I do not know, I only just saw a man striding through the street boasting that he had found it."
"Where is this man?"
"I think I can in just ahead of him."
"Good, I can wait." theKestrel settles back at the table with Avatara. He pulls his sword out and loosens it in it's scabbard. He appears to be deciding something. He reaches his decision and pulls out what appears to be a pack of cards from his cloak. The cards are over-large for playing cards, though he shuffles through them until he selects one from the group. He studies the card with an intensity one would think unneeded. His face clears and he appears to be mumbling words. After a few seconds he ceases and puts the card away with a smile on his face.
"About that fee of two thousand oboloi, Avatara."
Avatara blanches and says, "What of it?"
"Oh nothing....., but....well, I cheated you."
Avatara immediately conceals the grin on his face with an expression of outrage, "What!!?"
"Well yes, you see, I shouldn't have let you think I thought it was a good price, I cheated you in that I let you be deceived by myself, you see, money is of no object to me, but I wanted to give you a very good price."
"Oh." said Avatara.
"Think nothing of it," I say, "Now, I just need to wait for that traveler that found the lost tomb."
------------------
And so the problem remained; lots of people were mean, and most of them were miserable, even the ones with digital watches. Many were increasingly of the opinion that they had all made a big mistake in coming down from the trees in the first place. And some said that the trees had been a bad move and that no one should ever have left the oceans.

"My friend over there gave me some invaluable information about the Tyrant's Tomb." He gestures at the drunk who is passed out in the corner. "I found it located beneath the castle in cademia. As I entered the tomb, I discovered that many traps had been hidden there. I stepped on several razor sharp spikes before getting even ten feet. Fortunately, I have some very tough boots. The room I was in was sealed by a rather strong gate, which was operated by a lever on the other side, though such things are not difficult to bypass, if you know how." He points at door to tavern and closes his eyes. The door is flung open and then shuts again. "I was now in a large chamber. I traveled onward, and as I did I noticed that the ceiling seemed unstable. The tomb nearly collapsed on me, but I dashed out of the way before the whole ceiling came down. I took another path, but found it blocked by water. The third and final path led me to a huge maze. There were dozens of levers, each of which opened new doors in the maze. I flipped lever after lever as I wandered through that maze. As I used the final lever, I heard a rumbling coming from the path that was blocked by water. I returned to discover that stepping stones had emerged, allowing me to cross the pool. The door on the other side was locked, but thanks to my friend over there I had the key." He pulls a key from his pack and shows it to everyone.
"Behind this door I found another gate. This one was not so easy to open. Close inspection revealed that it was linked to the bells in another chamber. After ringing the bells in the correct order, the gate opened allowing me access to a huge, but aside from the thrones, vacant throne room. That empty throne room appeared to be the end of the tomb. I was rather disappointed that the tomb contained nothing of value. I took a seat on the throne to consider what I had accomplished by entering the tomb. As I sat, one of the walls of the room slid open. I went over to investigate. I discovered the remains of the second tyrant. By the tyrant was a chest full of oboloi and this belt." He points to the belt that he is wearing. "As I returned to the entrance I discovered that it had filled with rubble. I donned the belt and discovered that it gave me the extraordinary strength I needed to dig my way out. When I emerged, a large crowd awaited me. Unfortunately, some people were killed by falling into the tomb." He raises his glass in the air. "Here's to their memory."
Slayer sits back and relaxes.

Slayer raised his eyebrows, "..and?"
"I am involved in a plan right now, in which I may need some help. It involves the assault of an Undine stronghold whose location is known only to me." Slayer starts to speak, but theKestrel cuts him off, "No, not the ones which have already been taken care of."
"Really? Well, this is an interesting development."
"Well, what do you say? Will you help me?" theKestrel turns to the bar, "Who else wishes to join us on this glorious quest?"

Avatara, having had his fun, gets up and pays Talos 500 oboloi for the damage. He then fixes the door himself and walks back to the table with theKestrel and Slayer.*
"You were saying something about help with a undine stronghold?"

Talos, running low on food and drink, becomes worried.
I can take over for a bit, if you want. You can go get your supplies and I can keep the bar running...just don't take too long.
*notices Talos doesn't trust him.*
Okay, what if I pay you a 1,000 oboloi, in case problems do arise?

theKestrel looks at Mr. Brian, "Sir, I do not believe you know of the information I possess. Also, I think perhaps you overestimate your abilities." theKestrel stands up, raises to his full height and looks defiantly at mr. brian. The room dims and light blazes from his fingertips, his eyes taking on a glow. mr. brian blanches, "Perhaps you are right. I could learn from you though, may I come along?" theKestrel's stare seems to bore through mr. brian, "Yes, I think it may be good for you." theKestrel sits back down and the room brightens again.

I Mr. brian, now know your information that you possess.
I have read your mind, I know everything you know!
My powers are greater then any of you know, do underestimate my power!
I may not be able to kill everything there but my powers are great.
Do not lie to me because I will detect that to.

*A frown crosses Mr. Brian's face. He was unable to detect a lie from Avatara; kestrel was paying enough attention to notice that while Avatara said his false statment, he had his hand, palm out, for some strange reason...*

hm, that's I suppose we should do that, I'll let you know, or one of you can post the topic yourself, I don't have time at the moment.
I think we should leave the tavern for tavern-related posts (unlike this one). But, I also think it would be okay if we started a story and then moved to another topic (to kind of introduce it, get evryone excited).
Talos: Don't take offense, the more stories with people willing to post (reasonable stories) the better. I just hope that trying to be in ten places at once doesn't hurt something...
