Well, a little compression might take it down 50% or more, so no worries yet.
BTW I finally got POV's movie-making stuff to work . It was a really wierd problem that I'm still not sure about (I think the files that I tried to render were corrupt, but I'm not sure), but I can make the suckers work.
Unfortunatly, I just realized that this still means that only models I've made will be in the movie (unless someone's a real editing pro), as the only site that had apps to convert went down . Maybe we can ignore this and hope nobody notices, the way Bungie did with the apparent lack of mover support in Oni.
Learn from the pros, I always say

I do, however, have 230 Int and 100 Spi … I've also got an Eonium Lab
It doesn't seem to have updated my score to reflect these though -
I had about the same amount of points a couple of hours ago…]
I've always held that this plug won't be finished until I get DSL. I'm hoping that's sometime soon, but as of yet Verizon doesn't support my area (and hence EarthLink, it seems), nor does cable or satellite. However, we are a very wealthy town, and I'm expecting DSL to open up sometime in the near future
Editing Pro, eh? I can make movies and you can make movies with yours … it might be possible just to create large blotches designed to simulate ships when their edges touch (for antialiasing) or to avoid touching altogether. Otherwise, I don't know what the problem would be. Just take QuickTime (not the viewer, the thing they used to give out) and assemble the frames … and running a 24-frame Snapz movie recorder over it while playing the sounds would probably splice them together seamlessly.
To say "That's big for a plug-in" isn't really considering everything. This is a Total Conversion, which means it's supposed to equal or surpass the original universe in complexity (and therefore size). Now, when you consider that this will have ~50 verses (chapters in the original), then it doesn't seem that amazing to be more than twice the size of the Ares missions.

The first movie doesn't have any sound, but I'm not sure any is necissary. It's just one ship gliding in the general direction of another, and the only thing I could think to add is music (Sarg's department).

Just a thought, has anyone asked Bungie their permission to make this plug-in? Just wondering how receptive they may or may not be now that they are owned my Microsoft.

We plan to have someone they know better do that for us.

Due to dificulties with transports and expire sequences, elites will be solely on carriers, and any other ships that don't land.
