A. Cademia, Mother City
B. Odemia
C. Catamarca
D. Kosha
E. Pnyx
F. Land King Hall
G. Iron Mine
H. Headwater Ruins
I. Harpy Cave
J. Land's End Volcano
K. Ruffian Encampment
L. Swamp Ruins(Maayti)
M. North Shore Vineyard
N. Southland Vineyard
O. Flax Farm
P. Abandoned Farmhouse
Q. Cove
R. Lost Abydos
S. Eioneus' Cave
T. Charax's House
U. Cult of Scylla Temple
V. Stronghold
W. Disappearing Stronghold
X. Mystic Helmet Cave
Y. UrSylph's Prison
Z. Prusa
The noble(fisher)man would approach the tavern at A (Cademia) and the boat would be waiting at either C (Catamarca) or D (Kosha). This makes since because of the closeness to water and the people available to build the ship, also the waters to the north, shout and west are filled with serpents, crabs and scylla. The rumored spot of deep water would be somewhere southeast of Cythera.
Two points to consider:
1. Characters. Would we want to start with new characters, or use whoever. Pippin suggested that we use new ones to sort of reset the powers pool and maybe make the fights and story more interesting.
2. What happens when deep water is found (if ever). I had a couple of ideas. Seeing if we use old characters, they could run across some spirit that's trapped and wants to be freed, but it needs some number of object from a few nearby islands. An incentive could help, broken ship, wishes, money, ect. OR Fishing ensues.
The whole light at the end of the tunnel could fall apart quickly however, so we could pull a James and The Giant Peach and solely focus on the journey. This take would most likely benefit new characters, but still poses the challenge of coming up with story twists and turns.
What also might make this TS easier is the fact that there will be a clear leader, the nobleman. He is employing the crew and command them to investigate or do something if he wishes it. (Not to say he would be a drill sergeant)
Hm, if I were to take part in this TS and play the captain, I'd most likely play the captain and first mate. That way I could just send the first mate to act on behalf of the captain who would most likely be to week or scared to do any rear work or adventuring.
So, sorry for the long post. Like all TSs this one starts as a blank canvas.

No gambling the Cythera board (unless I get 50%)!
More on topic, I should be out of school in about a week.
I think that the idea with Pippin's proposal was to do TSs set more directly after the game. Current TSs are assumed to be set a decade or so later (as I recall).
My own ideas for a TS remain somewhat grandiose, and I'm holding off on posting them for at least three reasons: they are almost undoubtedly impossible given current activity, I don't want to risk stifling creativity, and I don't want to risk the proposed mirror universe TS becoming too enmeshed with my ideas (I can't recall which of my ideas are actually my own about this TS because it's been some time since I've heard others thoughts on this subject and I have incorporated many of those thoughts.) I might go ahead and write them up after school though.
Perhaps, TwoJacks' deep water idea could be used as a launching point for the Pippin-style TSs and/or a short more directed TS (like Ruffian Encampment) could be done in the ordinary time period?
And I definitely encourage you to join in whenever a TS is started, Katerei, if you have the time and inclination to do so.
I also agree with Jehezekel that you are in the TS, 453.

One of them suggested running two TSs at once, one in the line of Pippin's idea and the other possibly being the mirror-universe TS.
Personally, I'm fine with this idea. Does anyone else feel like giving it a try?
(For Pippin's idea, we could do something like finding out what happened to Larisa or some such thing. Suggestions?)

Regarding our regular TS timeline, as I understand it we are going to proceed with the alternate universe TS. Sounds like a good idea to me.
Now, Pippin's idea still has a few kinks to be worked out. First of all, exactly when is this supposed to take place, and what is the best level of strength for new characters? I still need to come up with a new character, but I'm not sure what to do yet.
Also, I just wanted to remind everyone that this doesn't mean we're scrapping the current line of TSs; in fact, I'd like to continue that line. This will be in a separate timeline completely. That should give us more flexibility. If we like it, we can do more; if it doesn't work out, we can always go back to the old ones like nothing has happened.

Many of these same people also pressured me start one immediately, so I'm going to make an attempt to start something tonight.
I would like a chance to ponder or discuss certain things a bit further. Thus, I'm not certain what time I shall make said attempt, but I suppose that I'm obligated to make it sometime tonight.
By the way for more information on Pippin's idea see here.
EDIT:
I posted one TS, but I haven't posted Pippin's yet.
I still don't know which plot to use.
If more people wish to give input, I'll try to have that one up in a day or two.

The deep water TS would be a bit difficult to do as a introductory TS where new characters are being created, but it would probably work as a future TS.
Perhaps, something to do with Attis' iron mine or the wine contract?

Several months have passed since then, but Aethon has not been idle.
Realizing that it was Elemental forces that prevented Bellerophen himself from fulfilling the Quest, Aethon had traveled Cythera, gathering a diverse band of comrades who had been inspired by Belerophen's example.
Now gathered at the abandoned farmstead where Bellerophen had his first real encounter, they are eager to raise a new era in Cythera.
The Age of Heroes.
