Well, I'm wary of posting in this topic, but I'll try to make something useful out of it. (If Avatara wishes, he may delete this rather than hunt me down and destroy me.) If anyone has any changes that they would like me to make, please let me know.
This is perhaps something in the vein of Tyrael's Funeral.
I considered following the custom of another forum when stories of this type are written and making slight changes to some of the names but decided not to (mostly to save time and trouble).
There are a couple of lines that I paraphrased from LotR, by the way.
*BiC*
Selax made his way through the sprawling metropolis that was the Cythera Web Board. As he passed the various building (Yesterday's Dawn, Echoes from the Past, etc.), he read again the letter that brought him here.
Selax:
Come at once to my office.
Avatara
There was no explanation, but this didn't really surprise Selax. After all, Avatara was the Moderator.
In moments, he'd reached his destination: The Alraeican Tavern, essentially the center of the city. Currently, the offices of the city's leaders were in the ninth addition of the building.
Selax went in. On his way to Avatara's office, he stopped to check his mailbox.
"Greetings, Jehezekel," he said idly as he picked up his mail. Jehezekel, who had been chosen to be secretary for this week, didn't answer, not surprising since he was buried under paperwork.
Finally, Selax reached Avatara's office and was admitted.
Avatara was seated at his desk, reading over a paper. Selax sat in one of the office's chairs.
"Ah, Selax," he said, without looking up, "about time you got here. I've received an anonymous complaint about you."
Somewhat nervous, Selax leaned forward, and Avatara handed him a sheet of paper. On it was written: Punish Sely! He's an evil wiki-linker! After reading it, Selax passed it back to the Moderator.
Both of them knew that BreadWorldMercy453 (more commonly called 453) had sent the note, in protest of Selax's relentless linking of wikipedia (which he did for no other reason than to annoy her just for fun).
"She's complaining about me? She hits me with blankets, papers, tissues, slippers, etc." Selax complained.
"She also states that you carry a lightsaber with you in #cythera and use force lightning."
"Why, that's ridiculous! I certainly do not have a lightsaber!" (Unfortunately for Selax, his lightsaber fell out of his sleeve and rolled across the floor. Trying to look innocent, he got up and retrieved it.)
"That is not, however, why I called you," Avatara stated. "This is." He picked up a copy of the Cythera Times and handed it to Selax.
The headline immediately caught Selax's attention: it read The Funeral of Tyrael, our Moderator. Underneath it was the authors name: BreadWorldMercy453. Selax read the article and was laughing loudly by the time that he was done. Still laughing, he passed it back over to Avatara. Then, he stopped laughing. Avatara's face was expressionless, devoid of any emotion. Selax knew that that was bad sign.
"Is there some thing that you find amusing?" the Moderator asked.
"Um, No, Sir! Nothing at all!" Selax responded hastily.
"This article is a work of sedition! I want you to personally terminate the author!" Avatara declared.
"Me?" Selax said, surprised, "and kill her? Isn't that a little harsh and won't she just get resurrected by someone? Couldn't you just—" He stopped when he saw that Avatara looked like he was considered terminating him. "Ah, of course! Yes, Sir! I'll get right on it!"
He stood up quickly, too quickly: he knocked over his chair. Muttering apologies, he picked it up and hurried out.
The rooms kept by the TSers were quite close and Selax was soon back at his own. Here, he prepared himself for the epic battle ahead. He put on his best Sith cloak and donned a mask in the style of Darth Nihilius (to protect his face and from paper cuts and jacket zipper); he stashed a vibroblade in his other sleeve, just in case he needed it to cut any blankets. Checking to make sure his lightsaber had full power, he strode out into the hallway...and stopped, scratching his head.
The corridor was lined with rooms: which one was 453's? He decided he'd guess and, if wrong, ask that room's occupant.
He strode up to one of the rooms on the right and threw open the door. As is required in stories and movies, he struck a dramatic pose and boomed in a commanding voice: "BreadWorldMercy453! The Moderator himself has declared you guilty of sedition and sent me here to terminate you! Prepare to die!"
Selax stopped.
Cache22, the Chron Lord, was sitting in the middle of the room, surrounded by scrolls. He was bent over one with a quill-pen and was staring irritably at Selax.
"Uh, sorry," Selax apologized, somewhat embarrassed, "could you tell me where 453's room is, please?"
Wordlessly, Cache got up, crossed to the door, and indicated a room further down the hallway.
"Thanks!" Selax re-entered the hallway and walked over to the indicated room.
Cache closed the door, sat back down, and smiled. He heard Selax throw the door open and yell again, "BreadWorldMercy453! The Moderator himself has declared you guilty of sedition and sent me here to terminate you! Prepare to die!" Then, Selax said in a shocked voice, "Katerei! Er, sorry! Uh, Cache pointed me here: I thought it was 453's room. No, I didn't mean to ruin your concert organizing! No, there's really no need to get up! Uh oh..."
An hour later, Selax sat up, massaging his head and glaring at Katerei.
"That was not necessary!" he said angrily.
"What wasn't?" she asked, shrugging.
"First, you kill me: that's okay I can use one of my resurrector potions. But hiding and waiting for me to use it, so you can kill me again? Hmph!" He staggered to his feet and continued down the hallway. (He'd at last given up and checked the registry to find the right room.)
Again, he threw the door open and roared, "BreadWorldMercy453! The Moderator himself has declared you guilty of sedition and sent me here to terminate you! Prepare to die!"
"Sely, you look ridiculous," a voice within the room answered, laughing.
"That's beside the point," he blustered. "It is useless to resist! Embrace the Power of the Moderator! Or embrace your own destruction!"
At this point, he ducked as a paper sailed over his head. Selax leaped into the room, and the epic battle began...

I admit that I should probably know such things, after lurking about for so long (longer than I've been a member, actually), but still many things escape my knowledge. Perhaps you could enlighten me?

Katerei shut the door of her room after Selax beat a hasty retreat out. Turning back to face the room, she eyed it critically. A telephone sat in the middle of the floor, surrounded by a mass of small coloured notes stuck to random objects. "You," she said, raising a hand and pointing at the telephone. "Now we get to endure each other again, hopefully with no more distractions."
She pressed a button on a small device, and loud spastic music filled the room (which was sure to draw complaints from the neighbours, but she didn't really care.) Sitting down cross-legged on the floor, she pulled up a sheet of paper and quill and cast around for her inkpot. It was nowhere to be found, but she did notice that Selax had left a pool of blood behind on the floor from his 'unfortunate' deaths. Shrugging, she dipped her quill into it and started scribbling on the paper, muttering to herself something about 'Sacred Heart,' 'stupid churches not returning my phone calls', and 'Hasenbank boys', then picking up the phone and settling in for another round of calls.

He briefly considered the person that had been so rude as to interrupt his train of thought. "Young fool," he muttered. "Only now, at the end, do you understand."
He picked up his quill, and reviewed his work. "Now, Sideline had just discovered where the shadowy warriors were going, and the Ronin had left that morning for Abydos..."
There was a commotion from upstairs. The Chron Lord sighed in exasperation. "Typical, the Tavern's fallen down again. Say, that gives me an idea..."
The scroll was tossed aside, and cache fumbled for a fresh piece of parchment.
