The Mushroom steak makes people say it doesn't taste good and it's in Aethon's house. And do this against Scylla:
1. Move Aethon/Timon so that he's not on the shore.
2. Tell him to wait.
3. Attack the Scylla.
4. Experience boosts like a rocket.

When Aethon joins you, he's carrying it. I often miss it because someone eats it soon (sometimes it's impossible, Aethon eats it the minute he joins you at certain times of day).
