I'm thinking that I'll edit my post if no one else ends up posting today.

Is everyone having trouble posting because of finals (mine are next week)?

Sorry if it seems I'm coming down on you, Kentonis, but could you please refrain from skipping whole days in your posts? Other people usually want to post things that happen in the middle of that interval. Thnks.

I'm posting, but it might be short.

(If anyone wonders about the possibility of a snow storm in Cythera, I recall it being done in the Tavern at least once.)

We had a blizzard in 'The Sorcery Tower', too, although that one wasn't entirely natural.

Assuming you mean in Cythera, I think we can say winter because the last time snow was mentioned in Cythera (I think) was over a year ago—here and here.

I asked because the story time runs far slower than "real" time. From the looks of it then, we're probably into the last "month" of winter in "Cythera" time. I think only seven weeks (at most) have passed for the characters since the latest tavern post with snow.

I guess we're not that consistent, there was a rainy thunderstorm in SG with weather reminiscent of fall/summer.

I mentioned cold weather back in my first post in this story, but that was just because I wanted a dramatic entrance. :P

On another note, I may post something tomorrow - I'm hatching an idea to get Brianna awake and active.

If not, please inform and I'll edit it. (Or make any changes you want made on SEE, and I'll edit them in; I'm putting it up there too.)

I don't know if I am the only one or but I am a little confussed as to where the TS is going at the moment, there are a few things happening at the moment but it doesn't really seem like many of them are getting anywhere very quickly. There are a lot of posts that don't really seem to be going anywhere.

Welcome to the world of TSs. :P

It's a phenomenon I've seen before. If the originator of the TS appears to have an ultimate goal in mind, people are reluctant to post anything which might interfere with that, or take things in the wrong direction. I can think of two ways around that: start a TS with only an opening premise, and no end goal in sight; or plan everything beforehand, so that nothing conflicts with the ultimate goal. The first is great for spontaneity, the second for a coherent storyline.

Personally, I find the spontaneous type more fun, but sometimes it's nice to see a good story evolve.

We're right in the middle of the two right now. There's been an outline of events leading up until this point (and a couple of sketchy ideas Selax had for the end), but now we're at a time when the opening plan has finished and the story is attempting to switch into spontaneous mode (since the second half wasn't really touched upon). It'll probably take a little bit for the story to get going as people become more and more comfortable with moving the plot on their own, rather than waiting for the topic starter, but it'll work out in the end.

If you're really concerned about accidentially messing up any ideas the original creator had in mind, for OSX users, in #cythera there's a link to a SubEthaEdit document that contains the plan used for the first portion and a couple of points about the end. (though again, the "end plan" is mostly which alignment certain characters will have after/during the endgame at this point) Though even then, nothing in the document is set in stone, as with the nature of TSes - it can change depending on the circumstances.

I guess what I'm trying to say is the ultimate goal is negotiable. If your posts start taking the TS in a new direction with some spontaneous idea, there's always a way to adjust the original idea to fit with the new (and often better) idea.

Which reminds me:

Pallas, our SEE host, is transferring to his home network monday. Since his dedicated satellite uplink doesn't work on the train (and I told him to shut down his laptop so we don't fry his RAM), SEE will be down a good portion of Monday. I'm not sure when it'll be back up. There's also the possibility that all coloring will be lost (as its been a while since the computer has been powered off, its probably due), but I don't think that will affect anything too much.

heh, an interesting thing is we have a main storyline with an ultimate goal, but youve joined the sidestory with no real goal at all. More of an adventurous group with purpose than anything else.

Ok, I don't really have time to put up a post right now and might not be able to post until Monday.

Kentonis, for the sake of simplifying the time periods that my post will already have to move through, I'm going to assume that Zacarutu is killing the protesters between the time that Selax talks with the Scribe and the time that Saria kills the wraith. Thus, the one survivor will just be starting to spread his story at the same time as the wraith dies. Also, you might want to add him to Character Info.

Cache, I'm going to put my post up on SEE as soon as it is back up. If you want to add anything on behalf of the Scribe and Brianna, feel free to do so.

Wizard, please feel free to do the same as well.

For that matter, if anyone on SEE would like to add more detail, I'd appreciate it.

It might be somewhat obvious, but I didn't feel like doing any dialogue for more than one person today or writing a long post. I might add more on later.

Kentonis, is there anything on Zacarutu in the library at Pnyx? For now, I'm leaving it undecided at the end of my post.

My post is pretty short today. Note that at the end of it the group is to be assembled in the Eighth Degree Hall. I think the time has come for the characters to discuss what has been happening in Pnyx.

Kentonis, it seems that you skipped days again in your post.

Because of the fact that at least two important conversations occur in those three days, I'm going to have to ignore the passage of that amount of time and start at the end of my last post. To get work in the second conversation, my next few posts might be set during those three days.

(Cache, I'm assuming that the Scribe talks with Selax on one of the those days—probably the night of the general conversation. Is that acceptable?)

Yes, that should be fine. I'm just back from vacation, so I'm still getting back into the swing of the story, but I may have a post later today (my time), set before the meeting breaks up. I'm just debating whether or not to drag in a couple of old characters.

I wrote up a post and put on SEE. Since it largely concerns Selax's views on the Ronin, I haven't posted it yet. (If anyone else is on SEE and feels like working on it with me, it could possibly be expanded to cover the wall as well.)
