Historically, much art isn't fully appreciated until after the artist's death, and many are, in fact, starving.

I've never met any artist who is, in fact, starving. I've known a number who aren't making any money off of their art, but they weren't starving by any means. I'm sure that there is an artist or two on the face of the planet who actually is starving because of his/her not being able to make any money off of their ar, but I should think that a massive majority of artists aren't in any danger of starving to death.

Well if that was true, why are so many of americas "starving artists" such good artists. I hate that term "starving artist". It's such crap. Our art teacher at our school calls himself one, but he works at a school, sells his paintings, works with artown getting paid for the work he does. he get's plenty of payments, and stills cays he's starving. by the look of his stomach i don't think he's close to starving.

If i don't know the answer to a question, our teachers say better to put something in than to leave it blank. So when i don't know something, or just am too lazy to spend the time on a question i think will take too long, i put down stuff like "purple" and "your mom" (which always offeneded my math teacher like no other) and various names of people.
