If he dies there's no need for book eight.

And you'd be surprised how quickly some authors wrap up lots of unresolved plots.

Yeah, I could to it in one paragraph.

Harry went back home then left to destroy the four remaining horucrux's, which he did. Two weeks latter he met Lord Voldemort and killed him. Harry lived the rest of his life with his friends.

But no one would ever make it into a book.

Of course not. Althought that will probably be the next book, she will go in depth about the destroying of the hourcruxes. So first, he will hear a rumor or something where one is. He will take 2 weeks to prepare, then leave with nothing but his wand. Then he will get to the area and have to battle his way past some hideous monster, or possibly even a few curses. Then he will get to said horcrux, and then have to battle even harder to escape. 4 of these, then we have the voldemort fight, which will last like 10 pages, and the horcrux things will be a whole chapter. So Voldemort will then kill Harry and... sory, harry will kill voldemort, or they will both become best of freinds, and harry will kill him in his sleep. The end!
If you take an Oriental person and spin him around several times, does he become disoriented?

I think only the first horcrux or two's destruction will be described in detail, that's the way authors tend to go.
"Sometimes I get confused whether I'm posting on ATT or in the War Room. But then I remind myself: If it's moderators acting scatter-brained and foolish, then it's the War Room*.

Not if there are important reasons for describing each in detail. And knowing JK, there is reason to believe, they're all important.

It's going to make Order of the Phoenix look like a pamphlet.
You put what in my Power Mac?
Its like what happens when you cross a phoenix with a super black hole; it's powerful enough to destroy itself, only to be reborn in a vicious cycle of torment and pain. Or in this case, nonsense.

Dude, imagine Redline Trash Talk; the unholy spawn of B&B and ATT.

I finished reading Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince (At the end of my second session of reading the book, just before 7am).
Holy s###! Holy s###!
}Spoiler Warning!{
I was sort of expecting Dumbledore to have to die at some point so Harry would have to take the fore in the fight against evil, but this soon? Holy s###.
I thought he would last at least a couple more books.

If I were writting the books i would never have the balls to do something like that, I would probably put Dumbledore into a comma only the defeat of Lord Voldermort could free him of or something.
Wow, you read a post by Ankhwatcher you must be so proud.

I agree, that locket was destroyed (possibly by regulas black.... fits the R and B of rab).

And his uncle's name is Alphard... Fits the naming schemes in the book: Harry James Potter, Tom Marvolo Riddle, etc.

However, the locket was not destroyed. In fact, we as readers have seen it:

Order of the Phoenix, on page 116, said:

There was a musical box [...] also a heavy locket that none of them could open.

My guess? Mundungus stole it from Grimmauld Place and sold it on the black (no pun intended) market.

Sorry for the minor gravedig.
