Yeah, which is why I think he was evil the whole time.

And I was hoping that they would bring Sirius back. I'm thinking that archway he went through doesn't kill people, it just is a way into the realm of the dead. People just don't come back through it cause they get lost or something. I don't know, I'm sure Rowling doesn't really know either, she just kinda made it up along the way and will do something with it later. But yeah, I think he will come back somwhow.

Dumbledore, he's dead. I don't think he'll come back, and I certainly don't think those portraits have that much to them. Nothing really useful anyway, just comments from their personalities and vague memories.

If you take an Oriental person and spin him around several times, does he become disoriented?

Is Malfoy evil?

Has he gotten himself into something he found out he doesn't want to be in (hesitation to kill Dumbledore, and Snape having to do it), or is he really evil?

Mlafoy isn't pure evil like many of the death eaters. If you remember, he was crying about what he had to do to Moaning Myrtle.

That he was. Except i don't think he was crying about having to kill dumbledore, but crying that he wasn't gonna be able to fix the cabinet. Like "Oh god if i don't fix that he's gonna kill me" kind of crying.

If she makes Malfoy go all goody goody, I'll be very po'd. I think he makes a great bad guy, and I hope he stays that way. Unless he gets kicked in the balls first...in which case, he can turn good.

If anything, he'll be a 'snape' good guy. You still don't like him and he seems kind of bad, but he is on the right side.

Let's kick him in the balls and let him be evil anyway. Cause then we can kick him again.

Are they making movies out of the last four books?

I would hate to be the actor's. It will take atleast 10 more years to finish them.

They'll probably all be done in four or five years. If they wait too long, like ten years, the actors will have outgrown the characters.

But usually it seems that movies take about 2 years to make.

They knocked out three Harry Potter movies in three years.

not quite, more like 4, but they have posted production dates up to the 6th book, one a year. but the kids have already outgrown the characters. in the 3rd, he was supposed to be 14, but he's like 16.

Yeah, but Daniel Radcliffe's always been older than Harry, and he's older than the other two main actors, so he was out of sync with character ages to start with (especially because, if I remember correctly, Harry is the youngest of the Trio). It's not like movie characters are always played by actors who are the same age, anyway.

Gah. I want the next book...that's the worst part of a new book in a series coming out. You read it, but when you're done it's really hard to stay content with what you just got, because you want to know what happened next!

Yeah. And when a series is over, it sucks sometimes. Because even if they brought closure to a series, you still want more. Like games sometimes. There is a game i play called Thief, and i own all 3, but after the 3rd one was released, that was the final one. I beat it, then i felt kinda empty inside cause i knew there wasn't gonna be another one.

Which is better than it dragging on endlessly, because after a while it loses ingenuity and a purpose.

Say that to Descent. They made Descent 4, but it never got ported to Mac. Descent III was pushing it. I mean, it didn't really feel like Descent.

Very true. It's kind of a trade-off, and it must be hard for people who make series (of books, TV shows, games, movies...) to find the "right" cutoff point, in terms of story (rather than in terms of having the money to continue, or someone to write books, or actors on a TV show). Especially when there's no "natural" endpoint, like there is for a series of books set at a boarding school which students attend for seven years.

Yeah, but I don't think that J. K. Rowling will be able to fit everything into the seventh book. Finding thet four remaining horucruxs then fighting Voldemort. There just wouldn't be enough space without it losing some of it's in depth feeling.

I had thougtht there would be eight books-seven for each year, then one for the rest of his life.

If he dies there's no need for book eight.

And you'd be surprised how quickly some authors wrap up lots of unresolved plots.

She won't right an eighth. She signed a contract to do 7 and only 7. but she could sign another to do another later series. but let's hope not. i mean, think of the sex scenes, edited for kids of course. "so they went upstairs, and 9 months later, johnny was born."

Well, figuring Harry won't be going back to Hogwarts for book 7, I definitely think she'll be able to go in depth, and Harry will live happily ever after. As will the fans
