I know, but I cheated and looked at the explanation topic.

Bah. Do they even teach Close Reading in schools these days? Moonunit4eva has a number of nicknames. Analyze the names she's called by in the thread and the answer should become apparent. :P

And come to think of it, the old curmudgeon act doesn't seem quite as satisfying know that everyone knows that I'm 20.

Oooh - and now for a double post:

Sundered - I have no idea about any critical reading skills and unless you were in on it then there's no way for you to be sure who posted that topic. I think that it was someone who is close to vec in a couple of ways:

Firstly we know that it's near impossible to get the password to the account from the net - unless your some "l33t hax0r" or something it won't be happening. This would imply that the person already knew the password. Secondly they knew about Shinobi. That mess was well over a year ago and I haven't seen it mentioned in a long time - it also didn't directly involve Vec, she was just sort've there...

My guess would be that it was someone in Reno that knew the password and I wouldn't mind framing Shinobi himself for it, as we haven't seen him around these parts in a long time. Or else maybe this is just one big conspiracy and there really isn't any spoon at all.

[edit]Looks like Shinobi is actually around here more than I thought :P[/edit]

Ya, they still teach close readings. I had to do a close read of John Updike's A&P just last week for honors analytical writing.

I haven't figured it out (or maybe I have, I'm not sure) but unlike DE, I care.

It wasn't me; I would suspect me after the "head explode" being given emphesis; I started that.

Until I read Vec's post saying she didn't post it, I thought it was her being weird.

So much for subtlety, I guess. In my above post, I recommended that people analyze the names µ is called by throughout the thread. Did anybody try that?

In the initial post, the post "by Veccy", she is called "µ". But Veccy doesn't call her that. Nor does anybody else in the thread, despite a brief discussion of what "µ" means. There's only one person on the boards who still calls µ "µ", and they have a post in that thread.

No prizes for the first person to realise.

No you didn't. Maybe here, but people have been saying that for years.

Well, there are technically 2 occurances of the name 'µ' in that thread, but one of those is someone asking who 'µ' is.

And, the other person isn't the only person to call µ 'µ', I call her 'µ'...

If I may point out to Lektor that SA never said the culpret called Moon µ in the actual thread, so the amount of occurances doesn't really matter.

He also said the culpret had "a post" in that thread. "A" being singular, meaning the culpret only posted once in the thread. According to the reply monitor, the person must be one of the following:
- Shrout1
- wzrds3
- Jamin
- Insomniac
- Rickton
- Trah
- dampeoples

Now, one of these people call Moon by µ. Now deduce it...

I didn't use the symbol "µ" in my post.

The only people I saw use µ were The Real Darth Bob to ask what the symbol means, Swithich to answer that question, and SA when locking the topic.
