I just wanted to let everyone know that µ and I are running off to Sweden so we can finally get married. We saved up the airfares by selling friendship bracelets!

Will send photos of the wedding when it happens. :P

PS: Sorry Shinobi! True love can't wait!
Can you imagine if I was deranged?

I'm tempted to think that it was someone closer rather than further away...

I'm pretty upset about this...I don't understand what entertainment this is. There is only one person on this board that could have gotten my password through me and even then I don't think they'd do this. Or someone in the Admin. Just come foreward already and save us some time and energy. Please just send me a PM or something.

Whoa. That's not very nice. You should edit that post and take out what the other person wrote.

Admins can't get people's passwords.

I suggest you edit the first post in the topic then PM Sundered Angel/Avatara and ask for the topic to be deleted.

Um, I think you'll find that admins can do pretty much anything they want to, you know...

For security reasons, the passwords are stored irreversably using either the SHA1 or MD5 message digest algorithms. When passwords are sent, they are put through these and checked by the stored data. In order for an admin to crack one of these, he would have to go through all possible combinations for the used hash to find out what the password was.

The admins have got better things to do.

In order to post through her account, the admin would have had to set the password to something they know, which means vec probably wouldn't have access back (especially since she didn't complain about a changed password).

Don't pm me, I can't delete stuff here. Even if I could, I'm sans a computer for a while.

Next question is: if this is really serious, why hasn't the original post been edited? She had a fast enough response time so that only a few people would know. Maybe its just a prank on us.

Precisely. However, what a mod possibly could do is somehow divorce a post from a topic somehow and then edit it... no need for any kind of hacking that way, methinks.

Of course, this is just pure conjecture... not having an active board to moderate, I've no idea how much power IPBB gives to moderators, but I've built BBS systems which would allow tactics as described above...

I'm pretty sure you're referring to me in having your password, and it wasn't me I promise. I know you have my password too :P.

It was kinda funny reading that first post, I read it over like five times to see if you had really written what I thought you did.

But come on...really...Who would do that?

Moonunit4eva. By the way DB can you send me the specs on your G3? I'd like to see how you beefed yours up.

Are you suggesting that Veccy wrote the post in order to mess with our heads? I'm not sure that I buy that. The posting style, while somewhat similar to hers, does seem a little bit... off.

On the other hand, it has to have been written by someone with at least a passing knowledge of the ATT population and Veccy's posting in particular. The Shinobi reference alone proves that.

Knowing Veccy, the post doesn't seem unlike her. However, she would have used the term "commitment ceremony" instead of wedding.

Moony, nice guesses but no and no.

And Wzrds. Thats more the sort of thing I'd do in real life, not online. Especially to Moony, who I know is uncomfortable with things dealing in that.
