New Zealand used to have over a dozen species of flightless moa birds; the largest stood over 13 feet tall. They didn't do too well when the Polynesians arrived. I bet they tasted like chicken, but we'll never know.

I found a spider monkey in my laundry room last week. He was dressed like Napoleon and beating out a tune on some sort of weird gong.
