Is it just me, or does that suggest that your schooling system is very, very poor?

Not quite true. I was half-expelled, half-left on my own accord. And the reasons were...well, it had something to with my political/religious views.

Which part? The public schooling system is pretty pathetic but that is really par-for-the-course up here in the good ol' US of A. Economically, the whole damn state is very poor (usually around 45-49th or so in the nation) even though we currently have the second strongest state economy in the US (which is what makes it so that we can have such a stupidly-easy scholarship plan, that and the NM lottery) which means that the school systems tend to be very poor as a result (comparatively). If you're talking about UNM, it's certainly not as difficult (I would imagine) as what you're going through up in New Haven, but it is a State University after all. It still manages to be enormously difficult for most people, the key here is that I'm not most people (I can memorize lectures (you always hear about photographic memories, I have a audio-recording memory), which helps out quite a bit on tests, in addition to having an extremely high IQ (that was more of a personal comment in my above post, not a reflection on the actual educational system 'round these parts)).

I meant the schooling system. The US is the only nation I know of where "school" can mean "University". Crazy country... I particularly like it how the myth of "equal opportunity" can flourish in a land where equal education is a ridiculous ream.

Riciculous ream is exactly what it is. Free education? Hahahahaha, we still have to pay for it. And Universities charge you up the ass for near high school classes. Thats democracy in action for ya folks. Gotta be politically correct....

So - are you against bad education, or merely against paying enough taxes for a good one?

Oregon schools suck ass. Why? because our legislative branch is all republican, and the morons won't increase taxes. Even though oregon has bad schools, I go to a Science and Tech magnet school in my district. (about 150 kids), and since we are all (in general) more intelligent then everything else in the district, which means higher CIM scores, which means more money for our school. So we still seem to get adequate funding for whatever we need even though school funding is in the toilet.

I can't remember where, but I read that the portland school district considers Algebra to be a higher math class. That's how bad it is.

So, for school today I'm up at 4:30 a.m. to go to school. I'm going to leadership camp at Herlong Mil. Depot for the day. Talk about being dead tomorrow....

For what grade is Algebra considered a higher math class? The school GD and I go to considers Algebra a high enough math class if you are in sixth grade. For Ninth grade, Geometry Honors is the high math class.

I protest to your addition of my name to somebody else's quote. This was obviously a personal assault from you, trying to frame words on me that I didn't say in order to slander my reputation. It couldn't have been accidential, "Azeroth" and "Avatara" don't have any letters in common, and they don't even have the same number of characters! You are clearly mistaken if you think I would say something that Azeroth would also say.

Now, back on topic: Shinobi is in a leadership camp?

Because that obviously is what public schools are like in real life. I sense you're not going to college either, unless you shoot for one of those homeschooled BSes.

The Public school system is vastly superior to the Catholic school system in every possible way. While social content really doesn't matter (who gives a damn about social skills, anyway?) I can't see how you can ****-off too much while being schooled at home. You're not going to need any of the crap you're learning anyway (well, on second thought, you might still be getting necessary math and history at your age, but my point stands for a couple years down the road), so why make it difficult on yourself?
