Well, this seems to have been the trend about a month ago, so why not?

How do you all get from point A to point B, and in your spare time points C-F?

Those of you that drive, what kind of vehicle?

And while I'm at it, if any of you have a "dream car" what is it?

Right now I've got a '95 Monte Carlo with an engine modded to the max. Bought it that way-this thing was obviously a drug-running car. 180,000 miles on the car but les than 40,000 on everything under the hood or around the wheels, and some sealed but well concealed compartments in the trunk.

Because points C-F give me instant gratification as well as good hair.

I don't drive. It is sad. NEVER EVER get in a car with TJ. EVER.

I don't know. Something that runs would be nice.

Primary vehicle: Beige 1987 Mazda B2600 Extended Cab 4x4, 5-speed transmission, 91,000 miles, lift, 31x10.50r15 Yokahama Geolandar AT+2's on custom American Racing rims, JVC/Infinity stereo system in front, Kenwood in rear, 2 CB's with Firestik antennae, Stockland Camper Shell and bed carpet kit. Everything mechanical is new but the body leaves something to be desired (looks like an off-roader, which is what it is) and it still isn't particularly reliable. Gets 7MPG city and 11MPG highway and cannot pass emissions.

Secondary vehicle: Beige 1983 Toyota Starlet 2-door hatchback, 5-speed, heated back window, nice tapping noice when running, no power anything, over 200,000 miles but reliable as a rock. Gets around 42MPG but all emissions equiptment has been stripped (it came from Mexico) so it doesn't even get close to passing emissions.

Classic that I'm going to fix up one of these days: White 1970 Ford Thunderbird, Automatic, 428 Thunderjet V8. Fully loaded but presently has no (good) tires and needs a new brake master cylinder. Very low miles and looks pristine.

Never thought of modding up a mazda pickup before. Doesn't sound like a bad configuration either.

I like what the guy did with my Monte before me-bored out the 3.4L to a 3.8L, threw on an Eaton M-90 supercharger, tacked on some turbo exhaust manifolds and a vortex air ram. The Bosch platinum 4+ plugs are a nice touch, too. Gets a modest 25-30mpg. Doesn't like running on anything below 94 octane, though.

What do you have planned for that T-Bird? Drive, sell, show off?

I hope to fix it up a bit and use it as a weekend and highway driver as neither one of my "good" vehicles are suitable for highway driving (the Mazda maxes out at around 62mph (minimum speed limits run from 65-95mph out here on the highways, I just can't get up to speed because of the big tires and gearing) and the Starlet, while it can probably hit 65, is a little like driving a small refrigerator down the highway (only with less crash protection than a refrigerator), damn horrifying next to a Freightliner). I'm of the school of "It's a car, it deserves to be driven" and it really is an excellent cruiser. The main problem that I'm facing is a perpetual lack of funding for such an undertaking, which I guess is sort of inherent what with being a college student and all.

I understand the refrigorator feeling all too well; my last car was an '86 Ford Crown Vic LTD station wagon, aptly dubbed the "battle wagon". Only this one was more akin to an industrial fridge (or more rather a battleship) and was quite a bit safer versus a semi. Had the old '86 police engine in it too which was fun when people wanted to drag race.

I don't drive. Come to think of it, I don't know anyone who does. Yale is this little bubble where everyone walks everywhere, and anything outside walking distance doesn't exist.

I fold matter, take one step, unfold matter, and am at point B.

When I drive, it is either a 1996 Dodge Stratus, or a 2003 Toyota Prius (the hybrid thingy). The Prius is Red, and has lots of unbeleivabley awesome gadgets and features, but I prefer the Stratus' handleing (especially acceleration) over all. Prius brakes are better.

I was thinking about that the other day. No more traffic...

1987 Volvo 740 SLE. Probably 9 mpg - 245,000 miles. The thing will probably turn into this shell of a car that still rolls forward. IT WILL NEVER DIE.

I clean up after my brother, he leaves huge areas of distilled matter, so I have to straiten it, that is why I am slighty insane.

Oh and I walk everywhere most times except when going somewhere besides school, snd from school back home.

Oh and my dream car would be a car thats small with good handleing.
