Well, the both, acually. I mutated, but in a good way.

You know, that Floozy pic was a complete coincidence. I was google searching for a picture like that, and it came up on like, the 6th page, or something. I didn't even realize until I copied the url.

If you can go looking at the 6th page of google image search for a mildly related pic, you have way too much time on your hands. Posted Image

Mine is a Toyota Rav-4. Well, for my teenage years, and then for my doctoral years, it will be a Lincoln Navigator. Built by yours truly!

SUVs should die. I think you should get a 1967 split window VW bus. I think I should get a 1967 split window VW bus.

I concur. However, i'd have to go for the '77 Continental;I can drop a 464 big block in that one. Gloss black exterior, purple velvet interior, hell might as well add hydrolics.

SUV's should die. They don't make you safe (quite the opposite really) but people think they do so they drive with less caution.

The rise of the SUV shows exactly when people started treating accidents as inevitable, rather then preventable.

Plus, SUV's are overpriced to the extreme. It costs about 25,000 to build a Lincoln Navigator, and they sell it for 35,000+. it is complete carp(<-- intentional misspelling).

Some people should have SUV's, but they should be banned in cities, and suburbs. Some people need them, most people shouldn't be allowed to have them.

I don't think that is a valid observation. I believe that the rise of the SUV was originally a result of the tiny car craze of the late 70's and 80's. Everyone finally got tired of having to be a contortionist just to get in the driver's door and then having to assume the knees at neck, head resting on ceiling driving position and decided that they wanted a vehicle that they could walk, standing straight up, into and then sit on a seat larger than their complete former vehicle. Once people started doing this, everyone figured that this was going to be the next craze and followed these fashion trailblazers like lemmings. Accident protection didn't come into it on a large scale.
