No, as I've indicated in the past, you have a posting-utterly-useless-posts problem. This was not even tangentially related to the topic at hand.

if it had no engine power, then how would it be going mach 3? it would have to fall from really high up...

Actually we're only famous when we actually crash. And it makes sense too. Nobody hears about that plane that successfully landed in Boston, but everyone hears about the plane that crashed and burned.

Something could have launched it at a similar speed from high up.

The problem there is terminal velocity, I doubt we would get to mach 3 before we reached it, even with the 9.8m/s acceleration of gravity. Avatara's explanation is probably best-something, possibly alien technology that could get around all the problems raised by physics, launched it at mach 3 from that high up.

The measurement of Mach 3 would have to be an average for the entirity of the plummet, as friction and air resistance would undoubtably slow it down as it neared the Earth. If it managed to maintain a perfect Mach 3 all the way down, it would break so many laws of Physics that it would create a situation where crashing into the Earth would not be able to slow it down as the basis for matter/matter relationships would have ceased to exist.

9.8m/s is a measure of velocity, not acceleration. Such unscientific minds...sigh... Posted Image
