Pufer, where have you travelled to outside of the US?
Canada, Mexico, Italy, Vatican City (layovers don't count, I'm saying).

Pufer, has anyone ever put a flaming bag of dog poo in front of your door?
Nope.

Favourite three songs of all time and why?
How about 23?
Regina Spektor - Samson: Ms. Spektor is one of my top-5 musical artists; this is the song that introduced me to her and is the most played song in my iTunes library.
Iron & Wine - Sixteen, Maybe Less (w/ Calexico): Listening to certain songs puts me in mind of particular periods in my life; this song puts me in mind both of the time when I was first listening to it, but also of an earlier time in my life. One of the few songs that's ever done that for me.
Tom Waits - Who Are You: My favorite Tom Waits song to listen to, not necessarily my favorite Tom Waits song, though.
Vienna Teng - Homecoming (Walter's Song): Home.
Vienna Teng - Shasta (Carrie's Song): Louisville, CO, to a certain extent, but really more poignant than that. A cheerful song about abortion and religion, and the only song that has ever brought tears to my eyes the first time I listened to it (or really ever).
Vienna Teng - Recessional: Boston, MA.
Sarah McLachlan - Song For A Winter's Night: Christmas.
Tom Waits - A Little Rain: Incredible song that is forever associated with me witnessing a murder, which goes along with the subject matter of the song nicely.
Iron & Wine - Passing Afternoon: Love the way this song moves.
Martha Wainwright - When The Day Is Short: A desperately sexy song.
The Shins - New Slang: This song doesn't immediately come to mind when I think about my favorite music, but every time I come across it, I can't help listening to four or five times back-to-back.
Tori Amos - Sleeps With Butterflies: Probably my favorite song off of an album (The Beekeeper) that I associate with probably the best time of my life, so far.
Dave Matthews Band - Stay (Wasting Time): Associated with what was the best period of my life before the period I mention directly above.
The Ditty Bops - Walk or Ride: I've quoted this song more often in papers than I have any other, and it's my favorite Ditty Bops song.
Indigo Girls - Closer To Fine: Can't mention one lesbian folk duo without mentioning the reigning champs. This song puts me in mind of some of my best days at my previous job.
Iron & Wine - The Trapeze Swinger: Relentless and magical. Incredible lyrics.
John Denver - Take Me Home, Country Roads: Probably the only song I can't help but feebly attempt to sing along with.
Everything by Martha Berner: Martha Berner is a goddess!
Mason Jennings - Jackson Square: The chorus is music. It amazes me.
Nickel Creek - This Side: Love the mandolin line.
Rilo Kiley - A Better Son/Daughter: I'd do an "everything by Jenny Lewis" here if there weren't a very few songs of hers that simply aren't epic. As such, only one song makes it.
Ingrid Michaelson - The Hat: Ditto with above.
Rosie Thomas - I Play Music: I have an incredible love/hate relationship with Rosie Thomas's music. She has an incredible voice, as evidenced by this song, but most of her lyrics grate on my brain. There's nothing in there that is straightforwardly bad or poorly written, it's just that I can't get over the impression that she's a total bitch and I couldn't possibly get along with her. Then I see an interview with her. She's an immensely attractive woman (or at least should be), who gives off the vibe that she shouldn't be attractive; a cute demeanor and ridiculous speaking voice (especially compared with her singing voice), yet with the same potential for being a horrible person sorta' implied somehow. I'd love to meet her, have a wonderful supper, ###### her brains out, and then run screaming from the bed, convinced that she's satan incarnate. This is one of my favorite songs, but I feel terrible about that fact.

How do you feel about having a topic made about you?
I don't feel much of anything about it, one way or the other.
QUOTE (Luke @ Jul 1 2009, 04:21 PM)
Pufer, what is your favorite episode of The Twilight Zone and why?
That one where everyone dies except for the ###### who just wants to spend all the time in the world reading. I like speculating on what he's going to do now.

Pufe, have you ever been on a cruise? If so, where did you go? Do any of your crazy stories take place on a cruise liner?
Nope. As far as I can recall, I've only ever been on a boat of any variety four or five times in my life.
QUOTE (JacaByte @ Jul 1 2009, 04:43 PM)
Also, how would you feel about having the topic renamed to "Dear Pufer"?
I don't really think I'm giving advice here (as in Dear Abby, etc.), although I probably could.
