Prawn salad is obnoxious and misuses "salad" (and almost certainly "prawn"). Thousand Island dressing is so variable that it isn't descriptive at all. Two slices of bread is unnecessary info. A bloomer loaf is the same thing as a non-bloomer loaf, just with notches cut in the top, so including that info is ridiculous too.
The above sentence in American-speak: Shrimp salad with crusty white bread.
Pufer-style tuna on toast involves more ingredients than some people use in preparing entire suppers, but it's still just tuna on toast. Ain't nobody saying it's seared albacore salad in a light whipped dressing consisting of marscapone, crema mexicana, mayonnaise, basil, pinon, extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, caper, Chimayo red chile powder, dill relish, black pepper, red pepper, white pepper, dried lippia graveolens blossoms, sea salt, and green onion, served upon two lightly toasted slices of artisan-baked marble rye alongside a homemade pickle, even though that's exactly what it is. Tuna on toast. Shrimp salad.

And with your wrong definition you're basically saying the exact same thing as Shlimazel.
All in all a pretty worthless post.

I think the word salad, in general, has evolved beyond a mixture of vegetables.

Prawn salad already contains the idea that it's dressed, otherwise it'd just be a pile of shrimp. It would be prawns dressed with X, not prawn salad dressed with X, unless it's using salad in some strange sense. Vegetables don't come into it.
