The sound of a high speed car crash is awesome.

If he/she was actually shifting gears whilst the car was in motion, that would be extremely impressive.

Over here Auto's are the minority. I have an automatic driving licence, because I don't like manuals. Means I can't drive a manual, but I've managed to get by without that.
Do you guys have one type of driving licence, or two?

Actually we have several. There are different licenses for motorcycles, trucks (lorries), buses, etc.
But I don't think there are two different types for Automatic and Manual cars though. There may be some state out there that does it but I don't think so.

Around 93% of new cars in 2003 (latest year I seem to be able to find stats on) were automatics. Given that there are a lot of older cars kicking around, I'd probably guess that the total number of autos on the road is somewhere between 85 and 90%. My first two cars were manuals, and I'm probably not going to go back now that I've done the automatic bit for a while.

Really? That high? Wow.
I really prefer manual cars, but, paradoxically, I also love Buicks. Dilemma.

Well, I figure an automatic transmission isn't worth the extra few hundred bucks.
But it will bring you into the age of not having to think! You have defied the future teachers who will tell kids that 35 x 41 = 1435 without telling them why it is! ANTI-PROGRESSIVE! ANTI-PROGRESSIVE!
