No, no. You're clearly delusional.

Did anyone else think this trailer was actually a trailer for some sort of EV:N movie before the title came up? The music they play in it is exactly the same as the music in the beginning of the game, it started and I cheered, only to be sheepish afterwards. Should be a good movie anyway.

They already have by changing some of the references to religion, so it, to paraphrase, will avoid being portrayed as an atheistic movie.

I'll go see it anyway, but if it strayed to far…I'll…I'll…probably cry.

I hear that too.. it was very disheartening. And yeah.. if they stray too far, I will too. We could have a crying party. That'd be fun!

Hopefully they won't change the book too much-- if they do we should make an angry topic.

Don't hold your breath-- movies based on books have a tendency to suck. Bad.

That is, unless they choose to have nothing at all to do with the book beyond a basic premise or they go so far into it that they have no choice but to make something about as good as the book. I mean Blade Runner was a good film "based" on a good book in Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick, even though it had virtually nothing to do with the book at all beyond half the characters' names and the fact that some guy was trying to find androids. And I don't think that anyone is saying that LOTR sucked, but it was also like three hundred hours long.

I'm putting us back on topic, as I just got back from seeing HP5.

It was an excellent movie indeed. Luna was great, and I think she is better looking than Cho Chang. Like, much better looking.

Though it was really cool, the ghost-like abilities of the Order and the Death Eaters was kinda odd. That was definitely added for theatrical purposes.

I'm also in the midst of reading the sixth book again, in preparation for the release this weekend. I'm going to a midnight party, so it should be fun.

I totally agree. Luna's way prettier. Which I don't get. I mean seriously.. they could've easily found a prettier Cho Chang. (And a less annoying one..)

I thought the "ghost-like" abilities were cool. Especially when the Order showed up. I didn't really mind it, it added some "coolness" to it.

Yay for B&N midnight party! I hope they give away free wristbands again.. :P

Hrm, I'd have to disagree.

300 in IMAX > Harry Potter in IMAX.

You haven't seen Harry Potter in IMAX yet, therefore you cannot come to that conclusion.

But I would hazard to guess that Harry Potter will be better than 300 in IMAX. And 300 ROCKED in IMAX. So that's sayin' something.

But I'm starving, and Carl's Jr. would help me more with that problem than an awesome movie.

Later (after I've eaten) I will agree with you.

I didn't think the Replicants were supposed to even be Androids in Blade Runner.

By "tendency to suck", I didn't mean "every movie based on a book sucks hardcore", I meant that even though there are a few exceptions, many movies based on books are disappointing to the fans of those books. The LOTRs were very well done, and I'm sure there are others, but as a whole, they aren't so good.

And I still want Carl's Jr.

They didn't make it explicit in the movie, but they were. It was pretty obvious in the book.

Saw HP5 in IMAX 3D today, awsome! It was great loved the movie alot. Only the last 20 minutes of the film were in 3D but they were great none the less. The 3D element made you feel like you were there thanks to the perseption efect. I highly recomend it to anyone who can acess it. Can wait for the next one.
