College > High school
What was your favorite thing about high school? The most pointless?
Best part of high school were the friendships and band. The most pointless was pretty much everything else. Classes that you have to attend even though you're doing the same thing day in and out. ESPECIALLY Government.

I'm actually going to miss high school. I agree with you when you say that the friendships were the best part. There are so many people I'm going to miss next year. A bunch of us would always just chill during our free periods (which were numerous in our very lackadaisical senior year schedules). Our school had a senior lounge, so going in there to watch a movie or just sit around lazily was so great. Another great location was in the band president's office. He brought in a TV and Nintendo 64. We'd always come down and play some Mario Kart. We even had some teachers join us on occasion.
Most of my classes this year were good as well. Here's the breakdown of my classes:
- AP Biology was easy, and most of my close friends were in it.
- Web Design was ridiculously easy.
- Calculus wasn't bad at all. I like the subject.
- AP English was such a chill class. We'd get off the subject easily, and my teacher was really smart.
- Italian 4H consisted of a teacher with no control over our class. I hated the class, but seeing everyone out of control was hilarious.
- Psychology was interesting and chill.
- My religion courses were pointless, but ridiculously easy.
This year was really cool, and I'm looking forward to college. The only thing about college that worries me is starting my social life over again. It's going to be an adjustment, as I will be in a different state and surrounded by all new people. I think I can handle it though.

In any event, I wouldn't worry about your social life at college. At high school you generally have a group of friends selected from a small pool of, at most, a couple thousand, but once you get to college you tumble into the pool that consists, roughly, of all people between 18 and 35 within a 100 mile radius. You not only can wind up with more friends, but more diverse friends. In my primary social group, we have folks who range from 19 to around 32, who either are majoring in or have degrees in just about every subject out there, and are at just about every level of life. We're roughly brought together by association with the government, UNM, or the mountaineering community, but that doesn't describe everybody. However, four branches of the military (Air Force, Marines, Army, National Guard), three national defense contractors (Lockheed, Northrop, Boeing), and two National Lab systems (Sandia, AFRL) are represented; we have undergrads, graduates, grad students, PhD candidates, and professors from UNM; and we also have folks at all levels of rock climbing ability (I have none, in case anyone was curious, but fit in the other two categories nicely). This bunch is certainly a lot better than any group I belonged to in high school because we don't associate primarily because of proximity (your friends in HS are you're friends because they're the best guys you happen to have in your English class, not necessarily because they're the best guys out there), but rather because of shared backgrounds/interests/outlooks. I will caution everyone against insulating yourself into a set group. Simply because you all share a dorm building doesn't mean that you should draw all your friends from there, you're not advancing past the HS mentality. Get the hell out and start meeting people!

Get ready for the real world! BILLS!
That is right! No longer can you come home after school and play video games! Time to get a job...Then come home and play video games!
Favorite thing about highschool was laughing and making people laugh. The pointless part was all the drama that I watched all my friends go through, seriously... Teens are dumb in highschool, they let stuff get to them too easily.

My "senior year" wasn't exactly a senior year. I had taken junior English in night school during my sophomore year, and filled my schedule in my "senior" year.
Its like what happens when you cross a phoenix with a super black hole; it's powerful enough to destroy itself, only to be reborn in a vicious cycle of torment and pain. Or in this case, nonsense.

Dude, imagine Redline Trash Talk; the unholy spawn of B&B and ATT.

Graduated back on the 22 of May, Plan to attend University of Southern Mississippi in the fall.
My favorite thing about High School was seeing friends every day. The most pointless thing was my engilsh and history classes. Aside from english and history all my classes were: zoolgy, physics, and marine biology were all great.

It'd be equivelent, although not as expensive, as a friend of mine who took about 8 years to get the whole thing finished.

Part of me thinks I'd love Uni, another disagrees. Plus I prefer earning money, truth be told...

It sounds like it sucks, but it's awesome. You lose a certain level of stability, but the independence you gain is pretty delicious.
Seriously though, congratulations to all you graduates Im proud of you .

hopefully i'll get into Beijing Film Academy next year. if not, i'll probably go home and major in english, got a lot of running start/ap on that in highschool, so i'll probably be able to graduate in two and a half years if i go home.
