That looks good. Are you going to model a squid, or photoshop one in?
I'm rendering an update (transparency = huge render time)....... but I'm scared as to how it will turn out. I added a few extras that look cool in themselves, but might detract from the image overall.
Oh, and ankhwatcher, I added a bump map to remove the 'bowling ball' effect.
I'll post it if it renders before I fall asleep.

I think it (tbe sphere) needs to be slightly more transparent... I can't really see the 'ATT' too well.

I think 'logo' means something whose meaning can be understood at avatar-size, but also highly stylized. If you shrink that down to a useable size, it will be very hard to understand.

Actually, that logo would go well with the "general trend" of most boards (excepting BnB after somebody made a worthwhile post). "ATT is dying. Revive it." "I'm seeing a general downward trend" etc. And this wasn't my avatar of choice until this year's Intel rumors turned out to have more substance than they were supposed to.
