Character Info The CIA Factbook for Cythera's Heroes

For the sake of adding variety to the action we experience I am introducing these "characters" to the mix. You may use these creatures or ignore them as you see fit, so long as you don't say "I killed them all".

**I created this list with the help of Katerei. I will be expanding the list later and I'm open to suggestions for additions.**

Updated Monster List

Over the years Cythera has been host to myriad travelers from far away lands and been assailed time and again by foreign magicks. Sometimes they are not truly gone, sometimes more than a memory is left with their passing…

Mundane

Night Wolf

A massive wolf with black fur and gleaming red eyes it stands a full meter high when on all fours. Night wolves have sharp ivory claws, powerful jaws, and pearly white teeth. They hunt only at night, hence their name, and have perfect night vision. Like most wolves they hunt in packs. It is unknown how the fierce creatures arrived originally but they have since become an established part of Cythera’s ecosystem. Their favorite prey is the titan because of the ease with which the large beast is found and the bountiful amount of meat it offers.

They are found only in the wilderness, generally distant from towns because they do not like people. Anyone who stumbles upon these creatures must be careful, for they may attack you on sight and are known as very dangerous creatures.

Basilisk

With thick rough gray scales over most of its lean body the Basilisk is sometimes called the “Snake Golem”; though the designation is inappropriate because this is not a magical creature. It’s head is like that of a serpent, and it bears two dagger like fangs that drip a clear poison, with a long tail that ends in a barb like the stinger of a scorpion, also coated with this venom. The reptilian creature stands nearly two meters high (about five feet) while on all fours and its body is nearly three meters long (about eight feet), it’s tail is generally three meters. These creatures are not particularly strong for their size, but their speed is what makes them dangerous. A basilisk’s venom is very powerful and has the ability to paralyze someone who has been bitten quickly.

They can be found in mountainous and other rocky areas where their scales help them to blend into their surroundings. Basilisks are solitary creatures, though they are very dangerous. Attacking one is ill advised, but if you must it can be noted that their under belies are soft and not protected by their tough scales.

Roc

A massive creature, often seen as a thing of beauty and majesty when viewed at a distance, the Roc is like an eagle, but with a five meter wing span, bright gold beak, razor talons(also gold in color), and pure white feathers. Roc’s are immensely strong able to easily swoop down and carry of people or horses in their gleaming talons, sometimes both at once, or cause massive gusts of wing with their powerful wings. Roc’s do not stray far from their roosts which they build high in the mountains.

Despite the danger many adventurers seek out the great birds, as their feathers can be used to make powerful healing potions, especially those which cure poison as Roc’s are completely immune to all forms of venom. The Roc is the Basilisk’s only natural predator.

Locust

With a green and black carapace that gleams in the light, dark mandibles, and six slight translucent black wings, these six limbed creatures blend into their swampy environment well. When standing on its hind limbs a locust is roughly the size of a man, its middle set of appendages has three finger-like claws and its top set is a pair of scythe-like serrated blades similar to those of the mantis.

Locusts travel in swarms of between five and ten. Individually they are only of middling strength, but the swarms are highly dangerous and have made it very difficult to travel swamp regions. While they seem to prefer going after smaller creatures, Locusts will not hesitate to attack wayward adventurers.

Legendary

These creatures are rare, though there have been reports of sightings around Cythera

Wraith

The tortured spirit of an innocent who was killed with great violence or after being touched by great evil, a Wraith appears as the blurred image of the person it once was, but cloaked and hooded in dark robes. Wraiths moan and cry out in both pain and rage, as they know they are dead, but cannot remember how or why, or usually who they even were.

Wraith’s are powerful creatures bound to the area around their death who cannot be touched by mundane(non-enchanted) weapons but can do people serious harm. Wraiths can be defeated by magic but their bodies will reform after a day’s time. Only by righting the wrong which ended the innocent’s life can you bring a Wraith peace and let it move on.

Drake

The Drake is the Dragon’s smaller angry cousin. On its hind legs a Drake stands just over three meters tall with a wing span of over six meters and a spiked tail five meters long. Their bodies are covered in heavy armored scales of shades that can be anywhere from emerald green to ruby red. The Drake is characterized by its high resistance to magic, its great strength, and its ability to breathe fire. The creature can run quickly across the ground, but truly it is a master of the skies.

Drakes can be found in large caves throughout Cythera, with the only thing in common being that they are generally very secluded. These creatures do not seem to have a favorite prey; they tend to eat anything smaller than themselves that was unlucky enough to be nearby when the beast was hungry. This monster’s roar is a loud and frightening sound like a vicious crack of thunder. Drakes are among Cythera’s most deadly creatures.

Familiar

It is rumored that there is a creature from a far away land which hides itself by taking the shape of another object, usually a treasure chest. The “Shadow Mimic”, as some have come to call it, shares this shape shifting ability, and like the Mimic no one knows what the Familiar’s true form is, however similarities seem to end there. This creature will take the form of any person who comes too near, it will have that person’s abilities and skills as well as look almost identical, however its skin, weapons, and clothes will be a dark shade of gray.

Familiars are very hard to defeat in single combat when they face off against the person they have copied, when someone not only knows all of your moves but has them as well you are left with a singularly challenging obstacle. A good strategy to use against a familiar is to have another person attack it, as the creature will not have knowledge of a second attacker’s skills. “Shadow Mimics” are otherwise frail and can be defeated with a handful of blows. Battling one is comparable to fighting an extremely skilled Ruffian.

Necklace: Sécundus does where an amulet. It dangles about his neck on a golden chain; it's properties are not fully understood at this point.
Rings: None
Feet: Regular old boots, it would seem

Description:
Sécundus is a young man with a pleasant face. His voice is soothing in an odd sort of way.

History:
Not much is really known about the young Sécundus. He claims to be a great admirer of archeology and has backed it up with hard evidence by his exceptional knowledge on the subject, especially for his short years. Sécundus is a decent fighter with many weapons--clubs, swords, axes--but he favors the mace for some unimaginable reason.

As for magical ability, Sécundus didn't reveal that he had any until the group was tracking Altérius after Wizard's kidnapping. Sécundus has the ability to detect, manipulate, and plant runes. While he seems to have complete mastery of runic magic, he seems to have virtually no talent in other areas requiring magic.

Shortly after their search for the Tree of Life, Sécundus choose not to journey with the group anymore. He felt that he had learned as much as he could from them and that it was time to move on. He disappeared after that.

Name: Enna.
Species: Probably human.
Age: About four.
Magical Ability: Vast but erratic.


Description:
Enna is about 0.8 metres tall, and has long black hair and blue eyes. She wears a pink skirt, a pink and white frilly top, white stockings and pink shoes. She has a (yes, pink) cloak, which she is very proud of. All of her clothing has a powerful spell to prevent dirt, rumples and rips from marring it. Never seen without her faithful companion, Wolfie.

Background:
Enna doesn't know much about herself, except that she was abandoned in a forest somewhere. She doesn't know why, nor who her parents were. The real reason is because she has very powerful magic that keeps 'earthing' everywhere, creating havoc.

Weapons/Armour:
Enna carries a small dagger, which she is very careful about, having cut herself once. She found it on a dead ruffian. She wears no armour and carried no other weapons or charms.

Skills
Best Skills: Talking to wolves, looking cute, looking innocent.
Enna was raised by a Night Wolf - she needed to communicate.
She's four - who doesn't look cute when they're four?
Very good at looking innocent - once again, she is four.

Worst Skills: Controlling her magic.

Weaknesses
Hates seeing anyone sad. Also hates people who hurt Wolfie. Scared of bugs and titans, but strangely, not Scylla.

Species: Night Wolf.
Age: Unknown.
Magical Ability: Nil.


Description:

Wolfie is a solitary Night Wolf, and is therefore smarter and stronger than usual, having to survive unaided.

Background:
Until he found Enna, Wolfie lived a solitary life in a cave near Tavara's stronghold. Enna seems to have increased his strength and intellegence in one of her magical outbursts, but he's very lucky he wasn't dyed green or vapourised in the process. Wolfie isn't his name, merely Enna's nickname for him, being unable to pronounce his real name.

Weapons/Armour:
Wolfie's weapons are his teeth and claws.

Skills
Best Skills: Fighting, tracking, moving silently.
All natural skills for a Night Wolf.

Worst Skills: Unknown at this point.

Weaknesses
Imposed an obligation on himself to protect Enna at all costs, regardless of personal safety. Will disobey direct orders from Enna to stay in one place.

Clothes: royal blue loose, flowing wizard-ish robe with silver hems. silver paper-thin armoresque stuff underneath the robe. heavy black round-toe boots, black hand/forearm guards. heavy silver chain around his neck, tucked into his robe. heavy black leather belt worn over the robe, holding his sword
on his face are blue tattoes, thin lines under his eyes, tapering down towards the edges turning into thin tear streaks down to his jaw line. (like this, sort of, but darker blue etc)

description: serious and fun-loving at the same time. not much can be said about him other than he is rarely seen without his female companion, Kristeva. he's angelic in nature, light always seems to shine on him from the heavens, even in the blackest of nights. his mannerisms and posture ooze with chivalry and justice.

Name: Spectre.
Species: Guardian.
Age: Unknown - fairly young.
Magical Ability: Nil.


Description:
Spectre is about six feet tall, with blue-grey hair and grey eyes, and blue-grey skin. Wears light grey, sort of shimmery, top and pants, and no shoes. She can change her colour slightly, but only from light blue to light grey, and generally centres somewhere in the middle. She carries no visible weapon.

Background:
Unknown, even to Spectre herself. All she can remember is waking up in a forest in Cythera some years ago.

Weapons/Armour:
Spectre carries no visible weapons or armour, but she seems to be able to create her weapon of choice out of nothing. This is not a magical ability, it is merely a species trait. Her created weapon cannot leave her, or it will vanish, and mostly she only bothers to summon the edge of her weapons to save energy. Any weapon she summons is invisible.

Skills:
Best Skills: Sword fighting, hiding, moving silently, creating weapons.
All species traits.

Worst Skills: Unknown at present.

Weaknesses:
Unknown.

Guardians:
A guardian is magically created, usually brought into being by a lack of justice or law in the area. They are the natural judges, doing what is right, whatever the cost to themselves or others. Once created, they cannot dissapate, and must wander around the country looking for problems to solve. One cannot knowingly lie in the presence of a guardian, unless the guardian permits them to.
Occasionally, a guardian will become an outcast, usually because they became emotionally attached to a human, elf or other species, in which case they are forbidden to take a hand in the solving of problems for fear that they will be biased. This is the case with Spectre, but she never talks about it. As far as she is concerned, three years of her life just vanished. In most cases, the guardian will leave for another area, and another guardian will take their place. The old guardian will wander until they find a place to settle, and usually they do many acts of justice along the way.

Appearance : A shadowy figure dressed in fine dark clothes and a black cloak he keeps all of his features hidden and shrouded in mystery like everything else about him. Seralcard is a master of disguise and, when not hidden by his dark robes, he is never seen with his true appearance. He uses an enchanted ring to somewhat alter the way he looks, he can change the color of his hair and his eyes, change his skin tone, or even add/remove the appearance of wrinkles to give a clever illusion of age or youth.

Strengths and Weaknesses : Through the use of well placed strikes and devious poisons Seralcard has turned death into his art, and in that respect he is a genius. The master assassin plans everything he does meticulously, cold and calculating. He has great skill with illusionary magic and the ability the craft and enchant his own items with spells he devises himself. Every item he uses is something he created himself to aid in his work.

While he has a complete knowledge of myriad killing blows Seralcard does not seem to have trained himself in the classic schools of fighting and would therefore perform very poorly in a direct conflict, at least that is what is currently believed.

Bio : Seralcard appears to have only recently arrived on the island of Cythera, though exactly from where and when is unknown. He is reached through a simple but secretive ritual, and through that he decides whether to accept a contract. He is paid half of his price for the effort he must put in to attempt eliminating his target and he only accepts the second half of his payment as reward for completing his contract.

Spells: Various, extent and nature unknown
Occupation: Captain in the Death King's Army
Affiliation: ???

History:
Quite likely, Kitran is part of a race of daemons created by the Death King. As such, he has served that being loyally for many ages. He arrived in Cythera when his master summoned him to kill Silverfish and create discord. In that battle, he was knocked down a hole under the Tavern and wounded. There, he rested to recover until he was disturbed by a group of adventurers. He followed them and found that one of them was an agent of the Death King. He aided this one in recovering the Amulet of the Dead and subsequently escaped with him to the Death King's old mountain fortress. Here, he now waits for his master's next orders.

It is possible that he has encountered Selax before.

Description:
Typical of his kind of daemon, Kitran is big, towering over most people he meets. His hide is tough, spiked, and jet black that seemed to absorb all light that approaches. An arcane bone breastplate is fused tightly to his flesh, offering extra protection on his underside. He has immense strength and three wickedly clawed legs. From his back juts a massive pair of wings. Each of his hands and feet has seven fingers and ends in massive talons. For some reason, he wears a sword. His face is hard and cruel, with three eyes and a mouth twisted perpetually into a wicked sneer.

Curiously, Kitran considers himself an aristocrat and follows his own set of manners to the letter.

Occupation: Fletcher

Appearance: Light blond hair, dark blue eyes, tanned skin. He wears a leather jerkin over a white tunic and black pants, with a dark green hooded cloak and tall leather boots.

Weapons: Carries a longbow that he carved himself, and a sheath of arrows on his back. Also wears a plain-looking shortsword at his side.

Lyxzén has grown up being trained as an archer and fletcher. He used to run a shop where he sold the bows and arrows he made, but when it burned down in an unfortunate fire, he packed up what little he had left and went travelling.

He is an energetic, cheerful young man with a nature that makes people warm to him quickly. Although he loves nature and wildlife, he feels equally at home in cities and in the middle of a crowd. Eventually he would like to settle down again with a shop and a house, but for now he is content to adventure and see where life takes him.

Mana Quantity: Currently unknown, believed to be a normal amount
Status: Alive, Healthy, Not in Cythera

History:
Ton-Sair, or Sair for short, is Talryn's first and most dearest friend. They grew up together learning their Druidic ways with eachother. The Rest will be added in after it is revealed in the Order of the Black Fang

Abilities:
Ton-Sair's is quite proficent in Druidic spells and elemental spells relating to rock/earth. He may be even more proficent with the Druidic arts than Talryn once was.

Equip:
Ton-Sair wears a light leather 'jacket' over a shirt and pants. He carries the tradtional sword of his people (the kind mentioned in Order of the Pure), strapped on his waist with a shield. While Ton-Sair is more proficent with magic than a weapon, he has enough training to hold his own for sometime.

Apperence:
Sair looks pretty close to Talryn. He looks a lot like other humans, except for the ears. He has Brown/Black hair and a brownish grey eye color.

Friends: Talryn.

Other:

Description:
Asran is unremarkable of face and features. He has blond hair and blue eyes. Typically, he wears a blue robe, embellished with the symbols of his house. He carries one sword and a walking stick.

Asran is described as being a wonderful person to know. He knows many stories and is an excellent cook. He has been known to make many friends very quickly.

History:
Asran is a young Elvish noble from another world. There, he lived a mostly uneventful life, something which doesn't bother him in the slightest. He's not been known to go actively out of his way to find adventure. Recently, his family encouraged him to travel and so he set off through the Void, arriving in Cythera eventually. Once there, he quickly made friends and was invited to a wedding at Pnyx.

Skills:
Because of his house training from birth and because he is in his prime, he is skilled with a number of weapons, although he has a preference for the sword and his staff. He apparently has no magic.

As I have decided to begin using terms and phrases in my own fantasy language I think it would be appropriate to have a quick reference guide to their meanings for anyone who reads what I write. I will update this continuously.

Languages

Ocalian – It is the most widely spoken language of Oblivion, the place my characters hail from.

Glossary

Saa – God Seal
Xar’ken’saa – Black Flame Seal
Oca’eon’saa – Heaven’s Light Seal
Xar’ken’anima – Order of the Black Flame
Shadan Cor – A small group of Necra warriors who have ascended to the Xar’ken’anima and have become priests receiving orders directly from the ethereal god they are aligned with.

History: An experiment in making a golem that does not cause problems after it's master's death, the marionette was too prone to follow any will, and was put in stasis for untold years. Now it is free, and obeys all wills.

The Prophet is a cheery bloke, tall and skinny he holds himself high and walks proudly,
he has a large and relatively clean beard which covers his chin and around his mouth. his hair is white and he has grey eyes that seem to
be clouded .he wears plain beige robes and has no other objects visible.
The only other possesion he is known to own is a book that he occasionally refers to, kept within his robes it is plain worn and looks
to be perpetually be covered in dust.

Magical ability: The Prophet as his name suggests can see what is to be and tell you of it, if he is so inclined.
his only other abilities is that he can light small fires and summon an occasional storm or whirlwind, these are generally no larger then a meter or
two in size and prove to be effective in throwing people out of the storm and blocking sight and making the area impossibly to walk through.

Brief summary:
Yomu is a strange tall man with dark hair reaching over his eye and most of his head. If you saw him he'd look like the kind of person you wouldn't want to hang around with for to long.

Background:
As far as anyone knows Yomu is just an ordinary man, but for anyone who knows to much or are in the place, Yomu is a fetcher. Constantly he gets offers for mercenary jobs, but turns them down at his dislike of fighting. He now is hired to "retreive" items from across the land, the only downside to this is that his clients are useally very shady. This has led to a few "disappearances" when he goes to meet a pick-up, what ever is not picked up he keeps for himself or sells it.

Items:
Strange red hat, some people say, if you look close enough you can see it twitch.
Pouch, while not the most exciting item, this item has come in quite handy a few times, mainly because of it's ability to store large amounts of matter.
Silver box, not much is known about this box. Yomu retreived it from catacombs deep under northen mountains. On the the lid of the box it reads,
"All that I am to the worthy.".

Abilities:
He seems to be quite strong, and aware.
No one knows to much about Yomu's abilities, but he he must have some way of protecting himself.

Brief summary:
Bly is the person that was originally summoned to Cythera to help King Alaric. At the end of his adventure, he was returned to Earth, but kept searching for a way to get back. Since then, it's been about 5 months, but over 10 years have passed in Cythera...

Background:
As far as we know, Bly is yet another resident of Earth, albeit one who saved a Land and a King.

Abilities:
Bly is extremely good at close combat, and somewhat good at magic. He never could master runes or Alchemy, but he can heal damage-- and give damage as well. On the other hand Bly could never master aiming with a bow and arrow, and if he tries to fire one, is likely to seriously mess the shot up.

Description:
Altérius was never really seen without his cloak. This was because he was horribly scarred from a magic-related accident.

History:
Altérius was a middle-aged man who was once a mage studying at Pynx, but he hungered after power more than was healthy for him. In an attempt to turn himself into a fire golem, he horribly scarred his entire body, which was why he spent his remaining years hiding under a cloak and hood. After that, he was thrown out of the monasterium. He spent a considerable amount of years living off the land in various locations on the island of Cythera.

Eventually, though, he turned to drink in an attempt to drown his sorrows. Some way or other he made connections with ruffians and became addicted to kesh. When the intoxicant resurfaced some time back, he joined the ruffians, and being familiar with magic, was promoted to second rank in the Ruffian Encampment.

After a group of Cytheran "heroes" destroyed the Ruffian Encampment, stopped the flow of kesh, and killed Altérius, everyone forgot about him. But he had never really died. Before he was completely dead, the enormous amount of power unleashed by Satori's death gave his spirit a physical form again. After his return, he became obsessed with the group and followed their movements for sometime.

Once he heard that the group was interested in the Tree of Life, he kidnapped Wizard in hopes that the old man would lead him to the Tree. He was correct, but shortly after reaching the Tree, he was overpowered by the group. Managing to avoid the group's notice, Altérius ate of the Tree of Life and his energy was renewed. However, the Tree's guardian announced that the area was to be cleansed. Everyone had to flee to survive, but Altérius was trapped inside a collapsing cavern by Satori. He is now completely dead.

Cyrus is basically the Rincewind of Cythera: low power levels, and a high facility for making magic-- any magic-- malfunction. Then he met Gem. Now, everything's the same... except for the fact that he now has high power levels, (still) no luck with magic, and an irritable invisible friend with a personality like a cross between that of Bartimaeus and The Grinch.

Background:
Cyrus is an ordinary student of Pnyx, but for his talent for messing all magic up.

Abilities:
Cyrus really only has two abilities: running away, and making a hash of any magical spell. Of course, now that he's bonded with Gem, this may change...

Brief summary:
Gem is a magical pendant that has bonded to Cyrus. Acquired under strange circumstances by Cyrus, it boosted his power levels, but couldn't cure his ability to make a hash of any magical working of any kind. It can talk to him in his mind, and may be able to help him acquire new skills in the future. Although somewhat irritable, it seems to enjoy being bonded to Cyrus.

That said, we still don't know its intentions, motivations, or why it was found by Cyrus deep underground, sealed in a cave, and locked up with a security system that used four talking, intelligent demons.

Background:
If only we knew! Gem's past is a mystery.

Abilities:
Gem can talk to Cyrus in his mind. He has taken complete control of Cyrus once, but apparently that is a stunt that can't be done often.

Nothing more is known about it.

History/Appearance:

Radik has a house near the shore, where he spends most of his day time hours fishing or hunting for food. At night though, he travels to nearby towns and drinks heavily. He has a reputation of keeping his word and lying to those he thinks are better off enemies anyways. Radik is a normal human, nothing special, other than his capacity to drink others under the table and still be able to walk home afterwards. He is native to the time line in which the party just 'returned' to in the Terminated (TS).

He has a slight beard, giving him a slight rugged experience, however, he shaves often, keeping it rather short. He has brown hair, that he also keeps short, with the bulk being about 2 inches long. Despite all the drinking he does, he keeps his body in good health. He isn't 100% muscle, but is strong. He stays in shape most likely because he duels daily as his source of money, and because of such, he has a few scars, with one running down from his shoulder to his wrist on his right arm. Normally, his eyes are sapphire blue.

Because of his line of work (or lack there of), he has some connections with the unruly side of the law and has seen some people die, both friends and enemies. The only stable thing about him (other than his drinking and dueling) is his loyalty. Radik has a fairly good sense of character. He fights his hardest for friends and puts their lives over his.


Abilities:

Radik knows how to wield a sword and he can fight well enough to hold his own. He can also hunt fairly well, and track to a certain extent. He can bandage wounds and has a limited knowledge of a few herbs to help with the healing process.


Equip:

He normally will wear a loose, short sleeved brown tunic and a lighter colored pair of pants. When leaving his home for a long time, he'll wear a black 'jacket' that is thick enough that it'll protect him from swords to a certain extent. The jacket is made of cloth, but is more durable than his ever ripping shirts. He carries a claymore (two handed sword) with a shoulder sheath. The blade has been used but is still strong and Radik keeps it sharp.

Description:
Anonymous has brown hair and brown eyes. He is of average height and build. He wears the green cloak typical of a mage, although he is rumored to consider the color to be to "bright and cheerful." There is nothing really remarkable about his appearance.

He has a gloomy disposition, most of the time, but he also seems to suffer from delusions of grandeur. Thus, he can swing from running around and screaming "we're all going to die!" to attempting to take on an army of skeletons on his own. He easily vacillates between being the most pessimistic person in a group to being the most annoyingly optimistic.

His class at Pnyx voted him "Most likely to accidentally incinerate himself."

History:
Anonymous was born and raised in the city of Pnyx.

His parents, either unable to think of a name or (as he claims to believe) disliking him, named him simply "Anonymous."

He was raised as a mage and performed well in his classes at Pnyx.

Unfortunately, he also set Lindus's hair on fire on the day of his graduation. After this incident, he was sent from Pnyx to "broaden his horizons." Since that time, he's been wandering around the various cities of Cythera.

During Bellerophon's time in Cythera, Anonymous carefully observed him and his followers and came to the conclusion that such a party of adventurers went a long way toward reducing troubles in the land.

Now that Bellerophon has gone, he has been inspired to form such a party himself.

Skills:
Anonymous is a fairly capable mage and has most of the abilities typical of a young mage partway through his training.

However, he still has much to learn and has never had to use any of his spells in dangerous situations. Thus, his practical experience is nil and he has not yet learned most of the advanced spells available to mages, having only gained access to two or three of the halls.

He might be best described as a freemage.

Named Mitsos by his parents because he was born during the harvest of their orchard on the Catamarcan Peninsula, his friends call him Pirro because of his red hair. In spite of his youth, his ability as a fighter has earned him favour with the leaders of the local militia. Indeed, they even honoured him with the command of a raiding party sent to rescue Ariadne of Odemia from the bandits. However, that might have been a prank instigated by his rival, who may have been aware that Bellerophen had already rescued her.
Although much-practiced in hiding it behind his military training, Pirro has an imbalanced fascination with fire.

I am truly saddened that my dear sister has fallen victim to the sickness that plagued Catamarca. I also regret to tell you that youre journey will not be ending to Kosha. I have made arrangements for you to live in Cademia. There you will attend studies which I have paid for generously. Once you are of age and have become accomplished through work, I will send for you.

After many years Rasmus is now a youth of 18. His gold wavy hair only emphasized his handsome build. Rasmus had not been interested in learning of the world, and was only tolerated by the instructors because of his charm and looks. It was this beauty and charm that had come to give him the name Gigolo, a name which was made popular by the many women that knew him well.

But while Rasmus was loved by many, he also had enemies. Aristo, a boy he grew up with, was also quite charming, some say even more so than Rasmus. "You think just because your parents named you Rasmus that you are worthy of love? Ha! No one could love such an unsophisticated, and talentless boy like you." Aristo continued as he strung a cord on his lute, "It's not just me that sees you for what you are Rasmus, or should I say Gigolo? That is what they call you isn't it? You know why everyone calls you that? Because everyone can see that you're just a whore!" At this Rasmus tackled Aristo to the ground and smashed Aristo's lute over his head. *Twang* "You damned fool Aristo! You know nothing of beauty or love!"

Rasmus had finally stopped running from the scene of the fight, he couldn't make out where he was until he heard the gentle noise of harp strings being plucked from nearby. "Hm, still not just right, but enough for tonight." Rasmus looked in through the window of a nearby house and saw a man blowing out a candle as he rapped a purple glowing object in a sheet and then set it on the table. The man, who Rasmus recognized as Bryaxis, exited his house before setting off towards the city. He knew Bryaxis was somewhat known for his experiment on the effects of magic on music. Rasmus figured that the strange glowing object must've been the harp he heard.

Rasmus thought to himself, "I guess Aristo is right about one thing," Rasmus winced, "I quess don't have much talent." He looked inside the house and could make out the faint glow of purple through the open window. Fate was staring him in the face. "With that I could become the greatest playboy in all the land, and spread love and goodwill to all! This must be my destiny, I can almost feel that harp calling out to me."

Rasmus had decided to abandon his uncle's wishes and Cademia for the time being. He would set out into Cythera with his newly "acquired" instrument and become a legend: Gigolo the wondrous! And in hurry before Bryaxis noticed his harp missing.


About the Harp:
The harp which Gigolo stole is infused with magic. When certain songs or even just cords are played, specific things happen. The problem with this is that Gigolo doesn't have any musical knowledge or background, so the effects of the harp are still vastly unknown to him.

Appearance: Tall, slender, but fit. Not especially muscular, but capable of taking care of himself. Black hair, brown eyes. There's a burn mark on his left hand from a childhood accident, and he has a scar just below his left knee on the back of his leg where he was bit by a dog as a teenager.

Strengths and Weaknesses: Intelligent. A quick thinker and adapts easily to new circumstances. Flexible, and a good shot with a bow. No major weaknesses, though sometimes he is indecisive or spends too much time trying to think over a situation instead of choosing and going with his choice.

Bio: Forlong grew up in a distant country and came to Cythera from the many stories he'd heard in taverns from travelers. Tales of adventures, of mystery, mayhem, of beautiful lasses and fair lads. He hopes to join up in the quests, and have some tales of his own to talk about someday.

Personality: Forlong is patient and quiet, though willing to talk if someone draws him out. He's introspective and a bit of an introvert, but is making an effort to reach out to others and be more sociable in the past few years. He enjoys the outdoors and new and exciting things.
At last he came to a door, with these words in glowing emeralds: THE END OF THE WORLD. He did not hesitate. He opened the door and stepped through.

Appearance: Petite, with shoulder-length reddish-blonde hair. She has hazel eyes and a few freckles.

Erica is a cheerful young woman that makes an effort to get along with everyone, occasionally getting a bit frustrated when her attempts are in vain. She's a fair shot with a bow and arrow, and although she'd prefer to use a longbow, she's not yet strong enough. Erica has some trouble with her confidence, having a tendency to panic in stressful situations, which can lead to her making poor decisions.
