This is where Mrs. Shazam was so wrong. Exploding is a perfectly normal medical phenomenon. In many fields of medicine nowadays, a dose of dynamite can do a world of good. For instance, athlete's foot-an irritating condition-can be cured by applying a small charge of TNT between each toe.

I agree, but having Cythera chronicles would be a way to increase the community, and even increase Cythera's popularity.
maybe. but with the excitement of EV3 and the new games(since pop-pop is already in beta) even with a chronicles page cythera would lose alot of the spotlight... not to mention that people probably won't find it too fun - thought i did and thats what made me register it even though now i wish i had registered something else instead - the music isn't great unless you listen to it in a certain way(don't ask), the graphics are annoying(what's with the angle?), the gameplay isn't smooth, there is no expandability, doesn't look like theres going to be an update, and the game itself isn't too big or long(as in number of missions, things U can do, weapons, spells, etc.). I really liked Cythera when i first played it and I even liked the music(i was either listing it a certain way or there was something wrong with me). but now I usually find it annoying. Now if i want to look at Cythera as a good thing i'll just think of it as a kind of an Ambrosia 'Wolfenstein' for a future GOOD Ambrosia RPG.

Keep in mind, though, that many of those things would be fixed with an increase in the number of registrations. The game is based on the Delver engine, which can be used for many types of games. I think that with a little work and encouragement, Ambrosia could make Cythera expadable, or release another, better, RPG.

The reason they don't have it yet might be because of a lack of players. Afterall, EVs been around for years. And so have EV boards. As for the Ares and Avara chronicles, Ares has alot of people (snip) If you keep posting about this your bound to get Andrew's attention... though I've never seen him on the Cythera board. But look at how ___ post about writing stories went. Few people posted..
Oh really? Those boards have lost a lot of people and gained very few in return (I'm one of the new guys). I'd say there are about 20 or so people who post in Ares, 5 are rarely on. But a Cythera chronicles would help. And maybe someone should start a tevern topic, the bars in EV/O and Ares seem to do pretty well... (I think the Ares bar has the largest number of posts in all the Ambrosia forums with about 540 replies)
As for the Delver engine. With four years and a lot of hard work, it could be used to make a really awesome game, maybe even topping EV/O.

Yeah, I'll post a tavern topic. Don't think it would get much attention, though... The story topics failed miserably. I don't know why, but nobody was very interested. The Delver engine seems pretty dead, they made Cythera and then stopped. I don't think anyone really knows why. Slayer, could you talk to andrew about the possibility of a Chronicles section? He doesn't seem to pay much attention to the Cythereans...

Wait, I'll rephrase that:
It should work nicely.

By stories, what did you mean? The "team" stories they have on the EV and Ares boards (like "the buildup" and "War's Fortune")? We could do something like those, where everyone posts a description of their Cythera character and we go against some type of new threat. It will work nicely, as long as the characters are realistic (not invincible).
Wait, I'll rephrase that:
It should work nicely.
go ahead. do it. it's already been done and it didn't get close to two pages!

Maybe you guys ended it too fast or the plot got boring...
Either way, there is one now that really could use other people adding to the plot. Just keep it reasonable.

Um...could you tell me what the title was, or make a link? I have browsed through all 13 pages and I still can't find it.

we certainly could do it if there's enough demmand -- are people writing stories that they might like to see posted in a Chronicles area here?

And so the problem remained; lots of people were mean, and most of them were miserable, even the ones with digital watches. Many were increasingly of the opinion that they had all made a big mistake in coming down from the trees in the first place. And some said that the trees had been a bad move and that no one should ever have left the oceans.

*smirks* Well Mr. Presidente, why dont you take a look around the webboard you moderate..... =) Heh, j/k. Anyway, yeah, we got some stories going now. They aren't too bad. Try reading them for pleasure sometime. OR, better yet, put a character in one of them! It would be fun to have you aboard.

Perhaps you should read the question I asked a bit more closely. I'm quite aware people are posting stories on the web board; what I asked was whether it warranted making a Chronicles area.

And yes, I do think that there is enough demand. True, only a few of us are posting on the stories, but we really like it (at least I do). I personaly would like to see a Cronicles page. If not a chronicles forum, at least another Cythera web board.(so it could be used for stories)
Who else is with me?
