I'd say that that one was the best so far. I told you to make it darker... Posted Image

Y'know, that last picture of the Count's up there reminds me heavily of the Antarans from Master of Orion 2.

Another 3/2. Quite nice, but I still like your Corvette and Assault Carrier better.

Hey, when you both get all of your images submitted, I'll vote for whose is best.

One thing that may be a little difficult for the voters, is that Slug's graphics presentation involves a lot more than 7 images, some of them not at all relevant to the graphics comp (no offense to Slug or his images btw). Slug, could you please seperate the graphics you are entering for easy distinction?

Sure, I'll post a link tomorrow.

I haven't gotten one entry finished yet (Vacation and other projects).

However, if I'm to be honest with you, I'd have to say that if _that_'s what it took to get into the PTP finals, I could have easily made it in if I wasn't heading off to camp so soon.
When I get bored, I'll boot up the comp with the "infested" scheme and pop that out for your viewing pleasure (it's only the in-game viewer; I didn't have time for anything that required 3D models)

With all due respect, "_that_" was not what it took to get into the PTP graphics contest finals, and if I may be honest, you are being an arrogant sod. To get into the finals I had to provide menus, bars, banners, icons, thumbs, descriptions, texts, and screens for the contest, in addition to the work I have submitted for this contest (which is, by the way, not the PTP Competition, the reason I haven't shown you all my PTP work). I already showed you some of the work to get into the PTP competition, and I was asked to prune that somewhat by the dear Count. I have done that and now you're chewing me out for "being played easily on"; well I wasn't.

If you think this is all I had to do, then you are.....

Look, sorry for being rough on you, but ignorant petulance is my piss switch. In the future, don't flip it.

OK, Slug, you're out of line. There's no need to chew Pallas's head off.

Pallas, you're also out of line. You should have thought a lot better about how you worded that- it was inflammatory the way you put it.

That said, I have no doubt Pallas could produce work to that standard. Hell, I could produce work to that standard. The question, however, would be the time required to be invested- I have no doubts Slug produced that work in less than a tenth of the time it would take me to do something of that quality.

Let's just tone down the egos across the board, OK? Pallas, Joveia (I'm still spelling that wrong the first time =P), and Slug, you're all great with graphics, so there's no need to pick at each other.

Hey there's a thought - why don't you enter the contest SA? Then you could better understand the suffering brought about by our enormous egos Posted Image.

I think the emphasis came out a little differently than I'd intended; I apologize wholeheartedly now that I've reread it.

What I had meant was, rather than criticizing the work you have there, to indicate that it didn't seem like the only work necessary to get in. (Which you appear to have now stated)

I think I wrote that just after I looked at the Psycho Politics Feature Banner (Which doesn't really measure up to the rest, in my opinion). Ah well.

Still haven't gotten around to that Infested Scheme. Hey, if I make the 3D models that correspond to it, I might be able to get in a skin entry Posted Image

Well, I might, except for the fact I just don't have the time to commit. You know that image I showed you? Well, that model and its textures were over ten hours of work, and I can't really afford that right now. Though I suppose if Slug was willing to host the file, I could show that one image.

There are a bunch of us with sites - Slug, of course, me, Mag, PatrickŅ
Really, if you want to advertise a plug, you have a website. (Although I don't know if Joveia has gotten to it yet)

It's a lot like UBB. Once you get some of those basics down, try the HTML Cheatsheet and fool around. An f2s site will get you started pretty well, but you can just open up pages off your hard drive for testing.

I don't need a site. But to include a picture in a post I need my image online somewhere where it can be externally linked to.

Ahh, thanks, I have itools though. While this may relegate my achievements to 'Spring Newsletter' I still have the means of making a site. I'm not sure how to implement html in an iTools site anyway. Anyway...

I, Slug Williams the LXVIII, officially deem the contest "boring"

True that, Mag. Posted Image

Anyway, if you think it's boring, perhaps you should create a few new graphics and spice it up, hmmm?

I agree with Slug (Which pretty much screws over interesting Posted Image).

Anyway, with school, I'm not really going to be able to get much in - I'll _try_ to finish that UESG Cruiser (It really is almost done) but I don't know how much further I can go.
