Yes! That makes it so much more worth my while
Although of course there's nothing to stop anyone who wants to from just stopping by and putting in 7 horrible pictures. Why don't you change it to "...enters with all 7 pictures with visible effort shown in their fabrication."?
Well, I could. Or I could just warn the would-be cheater that I get really itchy about bad graphics.

I'm now inserting subsections clause C into the graphics contest:
If one member does enter 7 pictures into the contest for judging, and no challengers step forth with any other pictures, then regardless of judging outcome, he must win be default.

Well, I'd rate the Assault Carrier the same as the Corvette, and the other two a point lower on aesthetics. Overall, the Assault Carrier and Corvette get ratings of three, and the other two get overall ratings of two. And yes, I'm still using my rating scheme.
I find your rating scheme terribly amusing, but sadly, this contest is no place for joking.

I'm not joking.
As I said, I would rather make a definite ranking difference between a good ship and a great one than between a good ship and a bad one, especially since I don't expect any entries below the 'good' category.

Your images are good, but, imho, too cluttered. It's hard to see what the things actually look like. The textures are impressive, but the overall effect is to conceal the appearance of the ship, rather than accenting it. Again, better lighting might help.

Ahh, but you see, those are great ships. If you are waiting for ships that are better, just let me tell you this: there won't be any.
Your sheer unsportsmanship and arrogance disgusts me, Count. If I were a mod I would have you banned from this competition just for that, but alas, I must set a good example.
Many of you are wondering why I have not been posting my images yet: I was working on them. I will now submit all 25 pieces of Art that have gotten me into the Final Round of the Planetarion PTP Graphics Competition. No word yet on whether or not I won, but they will most likely be using my graphics for next round of Planetarion.

*Withdraws himself judging because he can't do graphics anyway. Let ones that know their handiwork rate it.*

Ships, rating in the format of (Textures Rating)/(Aesthetics Rating).
Astropod: 2/3
Battleship: 1/1
Carrier: 2/2
Corvette: 1/2
Cruiser: 2/3
Destroyer: 1/2
Dreadnaught: 1/1
Frigate: 1/2
Gunboat: 1/2
Interceptor: 1/2
The better ships are even with the Count's best, but the worst (specifically the battleship) are well below the Count's worst. Texturing is simple but effective, not very impressive, but not overdone either.
I refuse to rank the battle scenes at this time; I haven't seen enough of that sort of scene to know where I want to set my standards.

Good, because I suck at still portraits and rule at scenes. Thank you for your ratings.

*CA glares at him*
Well, I do think that the reason I judged that was because of the kind of Colours used in making the ships (never underestimate the effect the colours have. CA, maybe try and darken the ships and see how that looks like?).

This is my 5th picture. I've finished all 6 ship pictures, now for the fighting scene. I'll probably get it submitted in 3 or so weeks.
Also, could more people post their views on this topic? So far we only have Wyvern. Darkk, Pharris, SA, Sarg, Laguna, Pyro, Talon Karrde, Mag Steelglass where are you?

This new one I like, a lot. The increased contrast makes it a lot bolder, and shows up the detail level of the texture.
