Since 2010 has just recently ended, I thought that I should go ahead and post this topic about possible topic submissions to the Best of Cythera Archive for 2010. In addition, it seems that I forgot to ask for submissions to the Archive for 2009, so topics from that year may also be suggested.

So, can anyone think of any topic on the Cythera Web Board from 2009 or 2010 that should be included in the Best of Cythera archives?

Long Live Cythera! Long Live the Cythera Web Board!

Oh boy, I've been waiting two years for this!
-Blazing Trails (of course)
-The Glass Menagerie, though maybe you won't want to add it until it's over?
-The best thread ever
-The cry for help (doesn't really qualify as useful information, but I want it to be linked somewhere just in case... :()
-The Duel

I also have some threads from previous years that I believe should have been added but were not:
-Build Your Own Story
-The Crazy Tavern (remember, it got three votes in 2007! It really only needs two more!)
-The Lost Goats

Okay, that's all I can think of right now. Please add all of those ^_^

If we do another Blazing Trails-like story, we probably should add those to the archives in a separate category from the normal timeline TSes.

Aren't TSes granted Best of Cythera status by default, as long as they're finished?

Also, I second all the topics BMW453 said.

Hmm, in the past, I've tried to get 5 votes for each topic before archiving it, but I'm not certain that enough people seem to be interested this year (i.e. why aren't more people posting in this topic? :P ) Perhaps, I should reduce it to 3 or 4?

Personally, I'd prefer to keep the nominations mainly from 2009 and 2010, but I am willing to widen the nominations to previous years if a number of people wish it.

Katerei, generally so, and BT probably will be added to archives soon.

Nominations and votes so far:
Blazing Trails: 3 votes (453, Katerei, Buzzzzy)
The Glass Menagerie: 2 votes (453, Katerei)
Party like it's 2007: 2 votes (453, Katerei)
Coders/graphics people needed: 2 votes (453, Katerei)
The Duel: 2 votes (453, Katerei)
Long Live Cythera! Long Live the Cythera Web Board!

I rescind my vote for Party like it's 2007 (I honestly didn't expect you to count it).

Also, I don't see why you don't want to count older threads. Just because they're older doesn't mean they don't deserve a place in the Best of Cythera.

In addition to Build Your Own Story, the Crazy Tavern, and the Lost Goats being added to the stories, I think that the timeline should be added to the useful information section.

The Glass Menagerie is still ongoing.

Sorry Tyry, I wasn't trying to kill off the Glass Menagerie. The Alraeican Tavern part X is hopefully still ongoing as well, & it's in the Best Of, so I didn't think completion was required.

I nominate and second ALL TOPICS IN THE CYTHERA FORUMS.

Try typing that list up Selax. :P

I would third ALL TOPICS IN THE CYTHERA FORUMS, but that would force Selax to up the minimum vote requirement which would be counterproductive.

If you did list ALL TOPICS IN THE CYTHERA FORUMS, it would only make it harder to find the really good ones.

I'm leaning toward keeping the archival updates for the years in question. As Tyrael points out, adding too many topics risks cluttering up the Archives. I'll probably also go ahead and withdraw the Glass Menagerie as well. (Part of the reason the Tavern is there is to make it easier to find and Taverns are automatically archived these days.)

Also, TwoJacks, do you have any serious votes to make :P ?

Nominations and votes so far:
Blazing Trails: 3 votes (453, Katerei, Buzzzzy)
Party like it's 2007: 1 vote (Katerei)
Coders/graphics people needed: 2 votes (453, Katerei)
The Duel: 2 votes (453, Katerei)

I actually do second all of 453’s nominations, including the rescinded Party like it’s 2007.

I second all of 453's suggestions including Party like it's 2007, and especially Glass Menagerie unless it has to be finished to be put in.

In addition to Build Your Own Story, the Crazy Tavern, and the Lost Goats being added to the stories, I think that the timeline should be added to the useful information section.

I just noticed while I was looking at Dusk's timeline that he has an error for the Cipher Manuscript date. He lists 180 AT as being the date the Cipher Manuscript is found; however, according to the History of the Cipher Manuscript, the date is 186 AT.

The font used in Cythera can be difficult to discern between 0 and 6, but I think that must be a 6.

Thanks for finding that, Wizzy. Could you hack into Sely's account & update the timeline? (also add the dates from the hintbook) I think it's ultimately Fiery's fault, it's recorded as 180 in book collection ^_~

I agree that it is a 6, however this might be more appropriate in the Cipher Manuscript topic. :P

Actually, it doesn't really fit there either, but it fits here less. ;)
