We're talking about Shlimazel. Ya know, the guy who started the tuning fork thing (that we shall never speak of again) and writes cool EVN stories. Lektor is the one who called him a heretic.

Fair enough.

Possible replacement accusations include "Apostate!" (if Shlimazel was once a believer), "Blasphemer!" (if Shlimazel's words were a slight upon the Almighty), and "Strumpet!" (if Shlimazel is a woman of dubious virtue in a specific historical period).

Incidentally, typing "Shlimazel" three times without a typo is surprisingly challenging.

No, I think that that actually qualifies you for the Shlimazel Seal of Approval.

And no, I'm not a woman of dubious virtue, in case anyone was wondering.

I dunno. "Shlimazel" wouldn't make for a bad plural, really. Or at least a group noun.

I thought American's preferred dropping the 'u' over the 'o'...

Well, one thing I know is that we don't prefer using apostrophe's with our plural's.

Grammar was never my strong suit. I have enough trouble remembering the differences between they're, their and there, not to mention through, thought and though. Heck, I need to take a minute to remember left or right. Dyslexia does that to a man. So I'm afraid that I make those sort of mistakes all the time, all I can ask is your patience in reading and dealing with my poor use of the poor apostrophes.

Won't someone think of the apostrophes!?!

I would think of the apostrophes, but they might take it as an insult. Unless my reputation has healed, it'd be like Osama endorsing Obama.

So many people on these boards claim to have dyslexia. I wonder how many actually do...

It's relative based on the number of people who claim to not have dyslexia.

Finding out would be a better use of time than participating in ATT. So don't try to find out.

Answered your poll. You wanna see some sort of doctor's note? Family history? Grammar and spelling test results from school? (Incase you were wondering, top of my class for creative writing and reading, pretty much bottom on spelling and grammar)

I remember eating kumquats all the time when I was a kid, but I can't remember having eaten a single kumquat since I started college. I've been going through a major personal kumquat drought without even realizing it.

I just had a kumquat for the first time earlier this year and I don't know where they've been all my life.

If I lived in the US, I'd pretty much live on Mountain Dew. They stopped selling it here years ago, and I miss it terribly...
